Kyteler’s Inn in Kilkenny

A great place to have dinner and a beer. The food is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pub is housed in an old building connected to the story of Alice, who was declared a witch. You can read about her story on the back of the menu.

Staff are fast and friendly, atmosphere is welcoming with really interesting history. Best 7UP in town. Sounds strange but it's rare to come across refrigerated soda.

unfortunately, apart from the old Inn itself everything else was average.

We went on Halloween night to enjoy a meal and try the famous Kilkenny beer in the actual town. We also appreciate the quiet and efficient staff and the live music starting around 6 pm. Our advice is to go between 5 to 6.30 pm if you want a table. Also the ambiance is really fitting for a Halloween outing between adults, considering the backstory of the place. It is definitely worth it’s reputation.

Great service, a beautifully set-up place, and honestly one of the best pints of Guinness I’ve had in Ireland.

Stopped in for lunch on a day trip to Kilkenny. As we only had a couple of hours to spend in Town we really appreciated the quick service. They had a couple of beers that were only available at the Inn and it was very good. The toastie was amazing. The atmosphere was so awesome. We visited in October so it was decorated for Halloween which made it even more fun. Would highly recommend.

Nos topamos con este - solo necesitábamos un bocado rápido y esto estaba justo ahí. Nos dimos cuenta una vez dentro de que esta era la antigua casa de "Alice" a quien nuestro guía turístico había mencionado. Guardaré la historia para tu propio descubrimiento pero IT es interesante y se sintió como un poco de historia mientras cenábamos. Muy limpio pub viejo con baños super limpios y buen interior. Servicio era rápido y súper amable. La comida tenía críticas mixtas. La ensalada era semi-fresca (el aderezo era horrible) y la olla - cena asada recibió las mejores calificaciones. (La carne estaba tierna, la salsa caliente y las patatas eran abundantes). En general un lugar divertido para almorzar, iría de nuevo, pero probaría algo más que la ensalada.
