La Bella Vita in Westport

A very nice little restaurant in the charming streets of Westport. The food was delicious. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I highly recommend it.

Tables are very close together, more so for the waiter/waitress getting passed! Had meatballs, very tasty but the smallest I've ever seen!

Review of La Bella Vita – Westport, Ireland (August 3rd, 2025) Had a wonderful dinner at La Bella Vita in Westport with my three kids (16, 13, and 11). From start to finish, it was a standout meal. We kicked things off with the Arancini (with meat) – rich, flavorful, and perfectly crispy on the outside. For mains, we shared the Triofe, Spinach Gnocchi (with walnuts!) and Carbonara – each dish was authentic, beautifully cooked, and packed with incredible flavor. The Tiramisu was the perfect finish – light, creamy, and delicious. If I had one small wish, it would be for a little more calamari in the portion (one of our other appetizers), but honestly, the food was that good and the service from the Italian owners was even better. Warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Also worth noting: cash only, so come prepared. All in all – 5 stars without hesitation. A true gem in Westport.

We had heard great things but they were booked out. So the next time we were planning to go to Westport we booked three weeks ahead. The meal was superb. We had two different cheese based starters, then ravioli and linguine and capped by a Pannal cotta. It's pointless to try describe what the food was like. Every aspect of the presentation, flavours, aromas and textures surprised and delighted. You'll experience food that has been cooked with creativity and attention to detail in every way. Set aside any notion of what a dish will be like as it will have been transformed in to something more. So book early and be prepared to be forever spoiled. Oh and get your steps in before hand. You don't want to be holding back.

We made a reservation for dinner, we were sitting downstairs, tables very squashed together, we were reading the reviews before we went, it wasn’t what we were expecting, and they have no card machine. CASH ONLY.

First time in Ireland and was recommended La Bella Vita … it was fabulous. Lovely little gem of a restaurant with fabulous staff and food was fantastic !
