This is a hard one. The ambiance was great. All but one of the servers were excellent. However, one clearly shouldn’t be there and her body language and lack of warmth made her stand out. The wine list was disappointing but we found a diamond in the rough. The menu was deep with tantalizing options. However little details in the dishes were lacking and taste didn’t match the visuals as much as expected. Our lamb dish was a miss - undercooked, tough and little taste. But lots of positives - starters and dessert were good. They also were very apologetic for the lamb shortfall. But it was a little hard to reconcile how some of the details could fall so short with a highly acclaimed restaurant that should’ve wowed but didn’t. I would try it again just to see if it was just a one off or the King really doesn’t have any clothes.

We enjoyed the early fixed price three course dinner. The food was best we had in our trip to Ireland. Service was excellent. We liked food so well we came back both nights in Dingle.

Land to Sea feels like a restaurant that is almost there.
The food is very, very good. The vegetable and meat cookery are exceptional, and the sauce work is lovely. There is a clear attention to detail in the kitchen.
Unfortunately the service felt unrefined, and was a huge let down. Staff were lacking warmth and attention to detail. We genuinely felt like an inconvenience or an afterthought. Nobody checked on ha during the meal. Pacing was very poor, with a very long gap between our first bite and starters. We had nearly finished our wine before we got starters.
Of note - there are no spirits or beer served, and the wine list was forgettable, and limited for being the only option.
With better service, this would be an easy recommendation, but as is, it's tough to justify.

One of the highlights of our Ireland trip. Making reservations for a group of 7 was very easy by contacting them by email, the response was the same day. The food was amazing as were the staff, very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

My husband and I spent two weeks traveling Ireland, throughout our entire trip, this was by far the best meal we had.
We ordered the Wild Venison Pate and Heritage tomato salad with local goat cheese as a starter and the Kerry Lamb and Dingle Hake with asparagus as our mains. It was all so beautifully prepared, we almost didn't want to eat it! The quality of the ingredients, love and care behind each dish is evident. We finished our meal with the Burnt Baby Guinness; Baileys Creme Brulee and it was exceptional.
We've been to many good restaurants all over the United States and Ireland, and this experience was one of a kind!
The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, while still being very lovely and upscale. Very reasonably priced for how sensational the meal and the experience were!
Julian is an incredible chef, and the staff was fantastic! We'd give this place 6/5 stars if it were available, best restaurant in Ireland, let alone Dingle.
Do NOT miss your opportunity to eat here!
