Langton's in Kilkenny

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant. Was not dissapointed. Very busy on weekends, but well worth the visit. Friendly staff and excellent service.

Popped in for food Had chowder very salty very little fish and the bit there was was those fish sticks no good quality fish or mussels Had a bean salad and house salad with brie..expected brie to be fresh slices on salad instead it was tiny bough in by looks of it breaded cheese..not nice and the salad was mainly leaves with tiny pieces of pepper cucumber onion and really hard crunchy sun dried tomatoes. In what was ment to mustard dressing..all we could taste off both salads was oil 57 euro for 2 soups to cokes and 2 salads...not good at all 👎

Food was good staff were so friendly and helpful and location was great Could do with improved car parking

I don't often leave reviews but on this occasion I just had to. The hotel is stunning. From the outside it looks like a small irish pub, it's so deceptively massive!! The decor is divine, lots of beautiful tiles, beautiful wood and fresh flowers, its design and decor is both traditional chunky and French boudoir, with a hint of Georgian thrown in. There is a front restaurant, a back restaurant for breakfast, tea rooms, library room, back bar, wedding venue and outside bar, it's huge. We were lucky enough to get a suite for the night and wow! Georgian, four poster bed, large drapes, jacuzzi bath, what's not to love, the bed was the nicest cosiest hotel bed I've ever slept in. Staff were attentive and pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was so beautiful and fresh, I had poached eggs on sourdough. I've just left and I'm dying to go back!!

Had a fantastic couple of days based out Langton bar and restaurant with friends. Great atmosphere in the bar ( live music) and also the restaurant had a buzz about it. Food was delicious- had the duck pate and fish main. Staff are more than helpful and we had a great laugh .

This bar and restaurant seems to be the most popular place to be in Kilkenny town on a Friday night. Maybe on any given night actually. I was travelling solo in Kilkenny last week and popped in here on the Friday evening at about 5.30pm just to have a bit of a look. Every table in the place already had a reserved sign on it!!!! Good sign. Luckily there were some free stools at the bar itself. So I grabbed one of them and decided to settle in for a drink and a meal. It was obviously the place to be. And I didn’t regret it. There was a really nice, relaxed vibe that remained constant even as the place filled up throughout the evening. It never felt really ‘busy’ or ‘loud’. The decor was lovely too. Very comfortable but classy. With little candles on all the tables etc. The staff were friendly and just the right amount of attentive. I thoroughly enjoyed spending a couple of hours there. I had a couple of drinks and a high quality meal. The hotel that the bar is part of looks great too. Very inviting. I’ll definitely come back here next time I’m spending some time in Kilkenny. And next time I’ll avail of the accommodation too. Very very nice place in a great location for everything. I believe the bar has won a number of awards too over the years. Very well deserved!
