Langton's in Kilkenny

The room was old in a good way! It seemed to have been an old studio apartment from 100+ years ago. The furniture was a bit gaudi, but fine. The bed was great and we slept the best we had in the whole trip. Little things were a miss, but nothing that made us bring down the rating. Service was spot on. The biggest pluss was that the hotel is close to evey attraction.

Had a work night out here. Food was beautiful and service was excellent.

The room was nice, quiet and relaxed when we were there. Though there was visible signs it had been very busy. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. They gave us a extra table to add to our comfort. Ample tea and coffee available. One of our party was gluten intolerant. The gluten free option was nicely presented, but was not freshly made, it tasted as having a long shell life, the bread was ok. It was reasonably priced but i would rather pay more for freshly made treats with more flavours.

This is probably my favourite hotel in Ireland, never mind Kilkenny!. I've been here many times and it never disappoints. However, there is one thing missing in the beautiful room we had. That is a mini fridge, they used to have them before COVID, but they took them out and never put them back. That's my only gripe as this hotel is a wonderful experience, food was beautiful, especially breakfast. Henry looked after us so well, he was very efficient and friendly, and nothing was a problem. I would always recommend this hotel.

Fantastic place to stay, so central. Breakfast really good and service excellent. The only little quibble I have is the room could have been a little warmer.

We spent one night at the hotel (in November). We ate at the hotel restaurant. It was absolutely perfect. Fast service. (Food and service 10/10.) The young man at reception was very friendly. The hotel is very well located. In any case, we loved it.

Not going to muck around about Langtons Hotel Kilkenny because right from the start it was welcoming & with a smile from Orestas at reception. This place just goes on into another room and another. But WOW, they are all brilliant & beautiful. So Langtons Hotel I recommend.

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant. Was not dissapointed. Very busy on weekends, but well worth the visit. Friendly staff and excellent service.

My family (a three-generation group of seven!) had the loveliest afternoon tea at Langton's. We enjoyed the Alice in Wonderland-inspired tea. Some of our group ate from the kids' menu, and some had options tailored for dietary restrictions. Everything we ate was *extraordinary.* Every single bite tasted as though it had been prepared with creativity, thought, and care. We were all so impressed and pleased! The service was very excellent as well! Our group arrived at different times, but we were all able to order our tea when we arrived. No one had a chance to run out, as our teapots were continuously refilled. A staff member kindly boxed our leftovers for us at the table when we were finished, enough for dinner for some of us! Everything was absolutely delicious, imaginative, and beautiful. I can't imagine a nicer afternoon tea. My children and I were in Kilkenny, visiting family there, after time in London. We didn't book a tea in London as we knew we'd have this experience in Kilkenny, and I'm so glad we made that decision. This could not have been more perfect. I'd recommend it highly to anyone.

Went to Langtons John Street Tea Rooms for a meeting. Beautiful day so we sat outside in the courtyard for our meeting. Great place to meet and exceptional service. Although servers don’t seem to wear name badges, our young server Sophie (firey red hair) immediately introduced herself and was so pleasant and engaging it was refreshing. Kudos to the training. Great food, great service (thank you Sophie) great outdoor space and a good place for a meeting. Highly recommended
