A great place to go if you want a great pint, with a great atmosphere

Had only a couple of beers but I think I can tell when a place is the way it should be. One of the best Guinness I've ever tasted and I do feel a bit sad I didn't get to taste the others :). Don't know about food, but people at the table seemed to be happy about it. Atmosphere is just what I both imagined and expected of a cosy Irish pub. Service is at its best, prompt and happy to oblige, especially when you're a foreigner curious about the little things - bit of chit-chat, not too much, just right. Been there twice, once by myself, second time with some friends, same vibe, same pleasant neighbourhood feeling. Yup, I loved it. Whenever life brings me back to Ireland and Wexford, I know where I'll have my Guinness

A fantastic place for a pint of Plain

No bull, no gimmicks, just a warm cosy atmosphere. You can almost imagine the sailors from many a year gone by popping in after unloading their shipments of coal and grain to grab a warm bottle of Gunness or mcardles. Warm, cosy, gentle, friendly atmosphere
