Booked for a Friday evening. Sat outside for a drink. Let the waitress know we had a table booked. Moved inside and noticed McGoverns had emailed me saying we were 15 mins late, which we weren't. We both had a steak, mine the fillet, and my husband, the rib eye. Honestly, this meal was 10 out of 10. I had garlic roast potatoes with mine, and everything I got was so tasty. I had booked other restaurants in Malahide and being honest could have happily dined here for the weekend. Service outside wasn't so great, but inside was a different story, excellent service. We have dined here before, not sure why it's not the number one place to dine in Malahide, in my view the food is delicious. Definitely be back!

Exceeded my expectations. Quality of food excellent. Shared a bowl of mussels, served in an njua sauce with focaccia. Than had the pan fried hake for mains which was served with veg on a divine tomato and basil sauce. 10/10. Very good value. Excellent service.

We have visited Malahide many times but have never eaten or had a drink here. So we decided to have lunch and so glad we did! Definitely the best seafood chowder ever and the mussels weren't too far behind. Service was great and staff were so friendly and courteous. This is a place you need to try.

Old Street

10/05/2025: We had the afters of our wedding here last week. There were 42 of us in total (including children who were welcomed by the restaurant and happily played) and everyone said it was incredible, the service was fantastic (we dealt mainly with Elaine - she’s great!). David was fantastic too. The food was delicious, the wine list had something for everyone and the margaritas were great. I couldn’t fault anything and will be recommending old street to everyone. We will absolutely be going back soon.
05/05/2025: Fantastic as always, would highly recommend!

Seabank Bistro

04/05/2025: Dining at Seabank Bistro in Malahide was an absolute delight from start to finish. Tucked away in one of Ireland’s most charming coastal towns, this bistro is a true hidden gem for seafood lovers. The menu celebrates the ocean in the most tasteful way — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I tried the prawns to start . For the main course, the lobster and chef’s linguine with seafood , and beautifully complemented by a medley of seasonal vegetables and a light lemon butter sauce. What truly sets Seabank apart is the atmosphere. With cozy interiors, soft lighting, and a view of the harbour, it’s the ideal setting for both a romantic evening and a relaxed gathering with friends. The staff were exceptional — knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the food and service. Seabank Bistro doesn’t just serve seafood — it serves memories. A must-visit if you’re in Malahide or anywhere nearby.
04/05/2025: Being on the coast there are not many places to eat good fish. We chose this one because the posts had photos of fish. Well, without further ado, for me monkfish doesn't need that much sauce... it came, as I saw in the photo, "loaded" with sauce... when for a good monkfish, a grill and a little sauce on the side for the customer to manage as they see fit is more than enough.
