The place to go. The quantity and quality of the food is really good and the stuff is v friendly. We had breakfast and weren’t hungry until dinner 😅

Great place! Monster deep-filled sandwiches, baked potatoes, salad and soup. Proper loose-leaf tea, fast, friendly service. And dog friendly (for very well-behaved pups). Highly recommended!

If you are looking for an amazing place to get breakfast in Cong. Look no further. You will definitely find it here at Mc Hugh’s. Upon entering I was made feel very Welcome. My order was taken promptly. The Irish Breakfast was totally awesome. Great Coffee and Orange Juice. The restaurant has lots of great choices on the menu. Plenty of seats, very clean restaurant and restrooms. I highly recommend visiting Mc Hugh’s of Cong upon your visit to beautiful Cong.

This has been by far the most delicious sandwiches I have ever had. I ordered the 'Ya mad cow' and the flavours are just mind blowing. My husband also ordered hot chocolate and was in a world of his own when drinking it. He said it was amazing. We also order the red velvet cake for dessert and it was delicious. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be my go to place when in Cong again.

Great spot for a sandwich or a bite to eat. Run by a fantastic team of people. Never leave hungry. Was there last week and the place was freezing but other than that never had a bad complaint

I‘m since a few months every week in the coffee. Got everytime very nice pancakes or sandwiches. The service was amazing, i felt really welcomed. Thanks for a good time in there.

We stopped here for lunch on our Bike Tour with Steve and had the best salads either of us have ever eaten. We loved the environment and how the story of McHugh's was told with pictures and history on the walls. The service was amazing. We loved this so much we came in the next day for cappuccinos and a scone.

01/04/2024: Ended up eating here twice over the weekend including Easter Sunday. Food is absolutely excellent and the place has a great atmosphere. Spotless everywhere from kitchen to the restaurant. We had three Tomahawk steak on the Sunday which was excellent. Starters and mains both days were faultless. The waitresses were really friendly to our young daughters and the colouring pages and crayons were a nice touch. Definitely family friendly and we’ll be back during our next visit. We met Paul the chef by chance as we were leaving and he was friendly. There’s clearly a sense of pride in the great food being served here. Lovely Guinness too!
