McGeough's in Dundalk

Walked in for a lunch/early dinner and a pint. Warm and cosy atmosphere, food and drinks are at a reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and accommodating to your needs and preferences (specially noticed for the regular customers) definitely a recommended place for a meet up or just a quick bite and drink.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the Condil Suite recently and we couldn't ask for a more magical experience the owners and staff were faultless thank you Mc Geoghs for giving us the day of our lives.

We recently visited McGeoughs Bar & Restaurant as a group of four, and we all left completely satisfied. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a great balance of lively energy and comfort. The food was excellent across the board, every dish was full of flavour, well presented, and served hot and fresh. It’s always a good sign when everyone at the table is happy with their choice, and that was definitely the case for us. And also the cocktails and drinks were really great. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Service was smooth and efficient, even though the place was busy. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily recommend McGeoughs to anyone looking for great food and an enjoyable dining experience in Dundalk. We’ll definitely be back!

Food was good and the service too. Staff are pleasant and helpful. We arrived early for our 8.30pm booking and had to wait for about 10 mins for a table. The restaurant was full and busy. It has a modern, well decorated interior. Worth visiting. Returned here on a Saturday night. We arrived 10 or 15 mins early and were shown straight to our table, no wait even though the restaurant was very busy. We shared a mushroom bruschetta which was very nice. I had the 10oz striploin for mains and my wife had the beef stir fry, we also got a side of onion rings. My steak was quite small, more like 8oz which was disappointing especially for the price of it, the beef stir fry was very wet I.e. too much sauce and the onion rings weren't great either. For dessert we had the pancake with ice cream etc which was very nice. We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails. Service, once again was very good and the staff are on their game here. Overall it was ok but the steak definitely let the place down, order something different if you visit here.

Went for new years food and service was great. Thankfull that they seated us at the bar dispite being busy.

I had a great time here with friends, however the waitress was incredibly hostile and aggressive towards my table for no apparent reason. She repeatedly ignored our requests when we signalled for service. She rolled her eyes upon taking orders. She aggressively placed the dishes onto our tables while the other servers handled them with care. She did not have a pleasant attitude as a server which created a unwelcoming environment. The waitress had dark hair and facial piercings. I wish she is taken care of accordingly to prevent ruining others dining experience. I strongly hope this was a one off situation, as it has really tarnished my perception of the McGeoughs Bar and Restaurant. Lovely restaurant, hateful waitress.

Went before going to see ardal ohanlon and the food was great. We had a reservation that they wouldn't get up on the system, but they accommodated us without any hassle. Great service and nothing was too much.
