Mckevitts Hotel in Carlingford

Lovely hotel. Clean comfortable rooms. Lovely staff, nice food, great location Shower could be a bit better but otherwise fab.

Staff fabulously professional, friendly and helpful.

It’s no Hilton, but the staff were great and you couldn’t get closer to the town centre

We had a meal in the hotel on Wednesday We had the special Hake with tomato and potato cubes It was tasty but a very small and inadequate amount The 5 potato cubes were clearly leftover potato a few baby tomatoes No sauce No fresh vegetables I did mention it to the waitress I was disappointed l had a glass of wine (small one) It was 37euros which I consider to be quite expensive especially for the very small portion A little extra vegetables and potato would have made all the difference This portion for a male would be simply inadequate

Food was nice, service prompt Nothing really wrong but nothing spectacular. Beer battered Cod was bland.

Room 4 for the weekend. Staff were so helpful and attentive. Especially the guy serving breakfast on both days and the young lady on Sunday morning. So friendly and welcoming. Ate here both nights. Food was really tasty and filling. Plenty of seats in the bar. Band on Saturday night. And free entry to the disco. Ventured in to laugh at the hens and stags who had been drinking in PJs all day. Breakfast was fab.

This room has no window worth having.won,t close at all ..makes the room very dark .also please replace mattress well over due ..had a terrible night sleep if I was to return it certainly won't be room 12..can't complain about the cleanliness nice clean room..but depressing room..

Couldn't fault the restaurant in general, nice decor and modern menu.The kids loved it but the burger was slightly overcooked but I don't mind the crispy edges. Also fetish friendly so would return. Best wishes, Daniel

We had never been to Carlingford before, but will definitely return. McKevitts was perfect for us. From the time we arrived until we left, it was amazing. Normally we like to eat in different places but the food was so good that we ate there on the 3 nights of our stay. The staff were all so attentive, good humoured and very good at their job. Will definitely be back. Thanks to Terry & all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

We visited for lunch and we really enjoyed our time. We shared delicious mussels as a starter which was a highlight. This is a quieter spot so perfect for a relaxed lunch. Kind and attentive staff.
