McMahon's in Maynooth

Two of us needed a quick lunch on Saturday. We were lucky enough to be served by the charming and very professional Ian/Jani. He was excellent and gave good advice. We had a coffee and a tea, two bowls of really good chicken soup and tuna melt sandwiches made with soda brown as requested. It was all perfect and quick. We will definitely be back and hopefully when Ian/Jani is on duty. Total price, €31.70 Others were having full meals - steak sandwiches, fish and chips, pasta and the roast of the day. All looked equally good which tells us that McMahons would be a good place to eat at any time. So, I've no doubt, we will be back and hopefully, when Ian/Jani is on duty too.

We had a last get together for our club to finish off the year. Great experience! Definitely recommend going

We booked a table for a medium sized party at 1.30. When we arrived the place was packed with a funeral. A birthday party were then seated at a long table parallel to us. It was a squeeze trying to get in and out of our seats and we had to constantlyshiftaroundto allow servers access. We enquired about vegan options when we booked and were told that wasn't a problem. The server took the orders for the table and said she would come back to me about vegan dishes - she didn't. My son went to the bar and was told someone would be down to talk with me - that didn't happen either. I eventually nabbed the server again and she came back to me with the vegan options as the rest of the group was being served their meals. I had to wait on mine and it honestly made me feel really awkward. The food was good and the portions were large. The service was dreadful - they also forgot my son's food and had to be reminded. I know it was busy but these groups would have been booked in advance so they should have staffed the place accordingly. The friendly, apologetic staff couldn't make up for the bungled service.

Good choice for lunch. I came here hungry after a workout and I had skipped breakfast. They did not disappoint . Had a squash soup followed by the special of bacon (ham) cabbage potatoes and veggies with a tasty sauce . Everything was great! 👍

Had our mother 80 birthday party there and everything was perfect. Food was so beautiful Big thank to Sally for everything we be back

I ordered food for collection, was ready in 15 minutes and i have to say it was excellent- 10/10! The steak sandwich was amazing, chicken wings and chips were also top quality-would highly recommend!🔥🙌

Lovely spot for breakfast. Usually quiet in the mornings. Food is great and service excellent.
