McSwiggans in Galway

We didn't spend time in the bar proper so can't speak to that but the restaurant is top class. Phenomenal food. Really exceptional. Unpretentious location and very friendly and helpful staff. Family friendly too. Can't recommend highly enough.

What a restaurant, full marks, everything here is above and beyond, Unassuming from outside; a hidden gem. We had the mushrooms to start, steak and duck were excellent, sides gorgeous, black forest cheesecake was devine. Thank you everyone involved.

Honestly can't fault this place! Our 3rd attempt at finding a table on a wet, miserable Saturday night, after travelling from Dublin earlier in the day. We hadn't anticipated the Rugby match onslaught but delighted we got this recommendation!✌🏼

The steak was unfortunately slightly charred. I could have exchanged it, but I didn't get the impression that my request was truly understood – so I assumed it wouldn't have been any better with a new steak. For €42, I've eaten much better and for less in Ireland.

We had a wonderful experience thanks to our waiter, Che. He recommended the best dishes, the venison and the sea bass, and even went to check with the kitchen to let us know what was freshest that day. His attention, knowledge, and effort really made the meal special. A truly great experience, thank you Che!

Came here while in Galway for new year.. we both had the fillet steak and pepper sauce.. to say this is the best steak I have ever tasted would be an understatement..

food is standard but it is a cosy spot and the staff were helpful
