McSwiggans in Galway

Fantastic local pub and restaurant. The real deal with very friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

We had a really nice lunch in here a week ago. The service was really good, the food was tasty, and the restaurant itself is very nice. I had the bacon chop with a delicious sauce, it was really tasty, and the others I was with had the seafood dish which they said was great too. Thank you for a lovely experience.

The food was delicious, but the space itself was just such a nice place to enjoy a dinner. Was seated on the top floor and had a great view of the street, but all the tables seemed to be well sorted. Our server was so nice and accommodating. 10/10!

We expected a warm meal from the fish platter. The quality is very good.

Great place in galway , meeting family that i havent seen for years was great . Old school pub , great hearty food from locally sourced ingredients

Just like I imagined it! Featured in seven nights in erie by Reckless Kelly! Cozy booths and great Guinness. There’s a special one Guinness and two oysters for 12$! 🇮🇪

This review is going to be a bit different but first I'll say the food, drink and atmosphere was excellent. Our party of 4 started with McSwiggans terrific drinks. I had the delicious smoked old fashioned, the seafood chowder and the strip steak. Our party had a few apps, the steaks and the sea bass. All were of excellent quality and delicious. But the real reason to visit McSwiggans is for the people. Having nothing to do with the food, I had a small medical emergency while dining. I am so grateful to Dave our waiter and the rest of the staff for their care and concern from the onset to my departure to the local hospital. They are truly kind and caring people. Visit this restaurant not only for the excellent food, but to meet these terrific people. And say "hi" to Dave!
