Mitchell's in Clifden

A wonderful discovery where I tasted oysters for the first time. The gratinated oysters... absolutely divine! The seafood platter... marvelous! It's a shame about the paper napkins. With a few more tweaks, it would be worthy of an exceptional establishment. Marie and Fred

Wow! Everything was absolutely incredible. Would come back in a heartbeat. The seafood platter was to die for and both our mains were also delicious.

I'd say this was the best restaurant on our tour of Ireland. Excellent seafood. The ingredients were really good, and most importantly, they weren't overdone with the usual sauces, milk, or cream, as is often the case in Ireland. Really good. The service was quick, attentive, and very friendly. Prices were average, but considering the quality/price ratio, they were excellent.

Lovely food anytime I eat @ Mitchells, if you like calamari this is definitely the place to try it, staff are always friendly & helpful nice atmosphere can't fault it 5 ⭐

A fish restaurant not to be missed in Clifden, or even Connemara 👌. Rarely have we been presented with such refined cuisine and such high-quality fish (cod) as this evening.

The service was calm the atmosphere was relaxing with soft music , just enough to set the scene without being over powering , the food was gorgeous , fresh clean and well worth the trip from London ….. would recommend highly

A great place, good service and good food. The crème brûlée and Irish coffee were excellent, as was the Sheri's pie, we recommend it.

10/10 seafood chowder, recommend sitting outside if you’re lucky enough to spend an afternoon in Clifden in the sun ☀️

We had lunch at this restaurant in Clifden. As soon as we walked in, we felt a strange atmosphere. We weren't exactly welcome. The waiter wasn't very friendly. We had grilled oysters, which were very good. The salmon was also good. We ordered fish and chips. The chips were fresh. However, I think the fish was frozen. A bit of a shame for a restaurant specializing in fish. A mixed experience.
