My wife and I both went there for supper tonight and had a wonderful meal. This place has been there for years. I had a prawn toast with Arugula and this delightful Marie Rose Sauce that was excellent. My wife had the bread crumb encrusted Baked Oysters that were also excellent. She also had a Goat Cheese and beet salad that was very good while I had a bowl of seafood Chowder that was the best I have had here in Ireland. We also had a nice conversation with one of the new servers here named Diogo who was from Portugal. He was a delightful young man who had only been at this restaurant for one week but his knowledge of the menu was just splendid. He will be a good asset to be this restaurant.

A truly delicious and traditional place just outside Galway.
The traditional fish soup is delicious, and the service is friendly and helpful.
Perhaps the best place I've eaten in Ireland.

Lovely.
We had the locally grown oysters, the seafood chowder, and the Moran's house ale.
Very pleased with everything.

I dined here over 20 years ago: what a surprise to see that it's still just as perfect as I remembered! Everything was delicious, from the excellent oysters to the chowder; those who ordered duck were equally happy. The place is still authentic and beautiful, with a view of the lake. The service is precise, punctual, and friendly. Truly a charming place, and it's a pleasure to return to.

The food was wonderful and the environment of the restaurant was very enjoyable. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather, with some excellent service from our waitstaff. Highly reccomend the oysters because they were the best I've had in a long time

This was very fresh fish and delicious too. The staff were so nice the prices were fair there was 8 adults and 3 children 2 babies in our party the bill was €336 for starters and mains. I would love to come here again.

Even though they advertise it as "world-famous" and the street is pretty much full of parked cars, you're a guest here, treated to Irish hospitality, and the oysters and drinks are really good and not overpriced.

Had been here before back in 2018 and made it my mission to return. Thankfully we got the last table to end our trip in Galway. If you want great service, atmosphere and of course the freshest seafood around then Moran's is the place.
The crab claw starters were the show stopper for me. Not only the tastiest I've had but the extremely generous portion size was very welcome. Fish and chips perfectly cooked and rounded off with a lovely apple crumble with the works (cream, icecream and custard).
Also location-wise this place stands alone as it is set down a small country lane that runs parallel with the estuary connecting to the ocean. Then you arrive to the beautiful thatched cottage that is Moran's. Swans aplenty too, just to add to the tranquillity. An absolute must visit if your in the area/county/neighbouring counties/any part of Ireland for that matter!!!
