Thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful lunch here, and the setting overlooking the river is fab. Everything we had was fresh and delicious - the oysters were great and the batter of the fish was crispy and light, though the chips were slightly disappointing compared to the fish. The restaurant was quite busy when we were there, so I hope this place will continue to thrive for many more generations to come.

A good recommendation for those looking for a nice restaurant off the beaten track. The restaurant is wonderfully quiet and located by a river. Plenty of seating. Very friendly service and excellent food. A little more expensive than other places, but definitely worth it. Excellent oysters! Plenty of parking and very easy to find. Definitely worth a recommendation.

We cannot praise this place enough! We stumbled across this little gem by accident on a day trip to rural Galway and walked into a very busy restaurant, every table full or reserved, the beer garden outside was packed, staff were so pleasant and smiling even though they were visibly run off their feet. How lucky we were that a gentleman we took to be, perhaps a manager, found us a table for 2 tucked into a nice corner where we could admire the interior as we persued a varied menu with plenty of seafood choices. Service was fast, efficient and so pleasant. The food was divine, freshly cooked and home made! The premises, including the essential trip to the ladies was spotless regardless of the fact it was so busy! We would suggest reserving a table if you get the opportunity to visit! We WILL definitely be back!

Had been here before back in 2018 and made it my mission to return. Thankfully we got the last table to end our trip in Galway. If you want great service, atmosphere and of course the freshest seafood around then Moran's is the place. The crab claw starters were the show stopper for me. Not only the tastiest I've had but the extremely generous portion size was very welcome. Fish and chips perfectly cooked and rounded off with a lovely apple crumble with the works (cream, icecream and custard). Also location-wise this place stands alone as it is set down a small country lane that runs parallel with the estuary connecting to the ocean. Then you arrive to the beautiful thatched cottage that is Moran's. Swans aplenty too, just to add to the tranquillity. An absolute must visit if your in the area/county/neighbouring counties/any part of Ireland for that matter!!!

I got my times mixed up when arriving but the young manager was very accommodating and soted us with a table by the fire place. Food and service were amazing. Best Oysters in Ireland.
