One of our best meals in Ireland. Do the Oysters - even if you don’t typically like oysters. Daily catch was fantastic as was the fish and chips. Team at Moran’s even had a vegan curry option for a member in our party which was delicious. Honestly though, the best thing on the menu might be the chowder. We visited Moran’s on the way back to Galway from exploring the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. If you’re not there early (17:00) on a weekday, best to book in advance.

A wonderful country inn located on the river. The oysters, crab, and fish & chips with side dishes were all above average. We arrived early and managed to get a table, but by the time we left, all the parking spaces were gone. The service was very polite and helpful.

We popped into this charming spot on our travels back to Galway from the Cliffs of Moher. Immediately greeted by friendly staff and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we made our way to the bar top and had a lovely snack of wine and fresh and grilled oysters.
Absolutely incredible, the best oysters we’ve had so far in Ireland! Highly recommended - and certainly would suggest making a reservation as the place was hopping on a Monday evening.

They used to say, you hadn’t been to Ireland until you’d gone to Moran‘s.
It still holds true.

An absolute must if in the area, Moran’s always delivers exceptional food and service. We’ve lost count of the times we have been here however when over visiting family, it’s always on the list.
The seafood menu is delectable, we enjoyed crab claws to start, these are the best I have ever had, a generous portion of decent sized claws in the most delicious garlic butter light sauce, to follow we enjoyed Moran’s seafood special, smoked salmon, prawns, crab with Marie Rose sauce and crisp salad and whole Dover sole on the bone with butter sauce, lyonnaise potatoes and tender stem broccoli. With plenty of home made brown bread to soak up sauce/juices we were suitable satisfied. We shared a pavlova to finish which was fabulous and so tasty.
The service is always exceptional, so friendly and genuine.
We absolutely love a visit to Moran’s, a trip to Ireland wouldn’t be the same without it. Highly recommended.
