Mulcahys in Kenmare

Have a been a couple of times over the past few months and it was great on both occasions. Try the delicious Beef Wellington

We arrived without a reservation and with our two year old son for dinner around 5:45pm on a Friday night. Laura and her staff accommodated us and served us the best meal we have had in Ireland. The scallops and beef pie were spectacular, as were the treacle and Guinness bread and the sticky toffee pudding. This is now a must stop for us every time we are in Kenmare. It should be for you too!

Very nice place, soft lighting, elegant atmosphere. The only drawback is the wooden chairs, but they immediately accommodated our request for a cushion. The food is excellent, dishes made with quality ingredients, so I recommend a visit. A larger portion would be enough to make it top-notch. I had their revisited fish soup, excellent. Salmon in filo pastry. The staff was very helpful and kind.

We had such a gorgeous meal in Mulcahy’s. It was incredible from start to finish. ❤️ I had the Beef Wellington and my husband had the Beef Brisket, and both were absolutely outstanding — beautifully cooked, full of flavour and honestly some of the nicest food we’ve had in a long time. Kenmare is lucky to have such an amazing resturant in the town. We’ll definitely be back again soon and would highly recommend Mulcahy’s to anyone looking for a really special meal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time at this lovely restaurant, the atmosphere was amazing, the layout of the restaurant was very open. The staff were friendly and they looked after my family well , the service was excellent our food came out in good time . The starter was potato peels , they were crispy, crunchy and bite sized. The main was the beef wellington it was cooked to perfection tender , juicy and soft . For dessert the lemon curd was smooth and creamy with a bit of sourness from the raspberry sauce but the two sauces balance each other and the crème brûlée had silky vanilla custard which was smooth and sweet. Overall we had a great experience at this restaurant .

Stunning dinner and restaurant. We walked in and they gave us a seat (on short notice), waitresses were excellent, food was absolutely 10/10, beef wellington is very hard to get right and this was cooked to perfection, excellent beef fillet. Grave and sides were really good. Apple tarte tatin … cooked perfectly and Carmel sauces was delicious

A fantastic find in Kenmare. The fish meal was exceptional: incredibly fresh ingredients, meticulous preparation, and very generous portions. The restaurant boasts a contemporary, elegant, and welcoming décor. What impressed us most was the service: attentive, professional, and of remarkable quality, the kind you rarely encounter.

Mulcahy’s is amazing! The food was so incredibly good and the staff was all super attentive and friendly. Definitely make a reservation at least the day before because they fill up super quickly. They don’t hold reservations for the tables outside so we snagged one of those, but it was quite hot as the sun was going down.
