A fantastic pub with hospitable and knowledge staff. Worth a visit to the upstairs room with a replica of the Quiet Man cottage.
Food was delicious. Well worth a visit.

Buzzing environment in a quiet village with excellent food. A lot of hype about this place and it’s worth it. Good Guinness, whiskey and fantastic food!

Great time at Pat Cohan's Pub. This bar was a fun little treat, walkable distance from Ashford Castle. Enjoyed the chicken wings, as well as the salmon and halibut dishes we ordered. Found memories of watching the movie The Quiet Man with my father during my childhood, even though the movie was before my time. Took a few pictures of the pub, and upon hearing me asking my wife to get a picture of me at the bar, the bartender asked if I wanted to come behind the bar, which I happily agreed too. This will make my father very happy, so well worth it, a great experience overall.

A nice and cozy establishment. It's a cultural landmark. Some scenes from "The Quiet Man" were filmed here; I highly recommend it for those who haven't seen it. The bar has several local beers. The service is good. The bar is conveniently located in the very center of the village, with outdoor seating. It's a very cozy village with its own atmosphere.

Food was very good. I had the chkn wings which seemed to be smoked but excellent. Had to go here because my dad loves John Wayne. Also, had to have “one of those black beers” at the bar.

On a road trip round Southern Ireland and stayed in a beautiful village called Cong, County Mayo. Stumbled on this great place which made both us and our dog feel comfy and with friendly staff. The food was amazing.
We have struggled on this trip to find places which accept dogs but this place was exceptional.

A charming spot, in a beautiful and special part of Ireland.
Cong is a small town surrounded by spectacular scenery, and this place is a great place to grab a bite to eat and drink cheap Guinness.
Being in a small, secluded location, the drinks are cheaper than in the big cities, while the food, while tasty, is on par with the rest of Ireland.
We tried fish and chips, which were good; not spectacular, but just okay.
