Small and cosy restaurant with extensive menu. Excellent food.

Pat Cohan's Bar es un pub/restaurante ubicado en Cong, una pequeña ciudad, donde se rodó la película "The Quiet Man". Es un excelente restaurante, donde vinimos a cenar. Decidí comer una sopa de marisco como mi primer plato, ron de cordero asado como mi plato principal y una cerveza de la ciudad de Westport como bebida. Menú realmente maravilloso y restaurante muy cómodo. Muy recomendable.

I have wanted to make this a bucket list destination for many years. We had the email reservation acknowledgment and showed it to the hostess. She sat us at the bar and gave us menus. I said no thanks. They then arranged a table (they weren't busy, open tables around us). we got the cold shoulder during service, but I didn't care. I finally got to say I ate there.

Stopped in for a pint, excellent!

Nos alojamos en el castillo de Ashford y estábamos muy contentos de aprender sobre Pat Cohan de nuestro guía turístico. Situado en el pequeño pueblo de Cong, es el mejor pub y restaurante del pueblo y, la verdad, un gran hallazgo independientemente de la ubicación. Como anuncian, buena comida + bebida. Bar decente con excelente Guiness, whisky irlandés y cócteles. El menú incluye comida tradicional irlandesa con pescado y patatas fritas, salmón, ensaladas frescas y verduras. Carta de vinos decente, todos los precios súper razonables. Fuimos aquí a cenar dos veces, fue tan bueno. Disfruta!

Not the cheapest place to eat and drink but food was lovely. Shame one member off staff was very grumpy but the lovely lady bar maid took care of us and made us feel welcome

The legendary pub from the movie A Quiet Man, by John Wayne. I could only see it from the outside, and in Irish weather.

The food and service was great but the place has no soul, honestly there was no atmosphere, really enjoyed the food but they need to work on entertaining.

Happened upon this GEM, while visiting this cute little town after going to Falcon walk..sweetest people they got us a table when we just walked in, even though they were BUSY . BEST STICKY TOFFEE in Ireland yum

More elaborate dishes than a classic pub, good beer (including those brewed near Westport) but unfortunately service that is not very smiling or even annoyed when you dare to ask for clarification on a type of fish. Please note, the portions served are not equal depending on the dishes chosen.
