If you're in cork, I would recommend you go to Cobh and have a look around. Once you've worked up a thirst and fancy a bit of True Irish folk music, this is a great night out. The people and staff are brilliant đź‘Ź.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere!! As a solo female traveller from England, I wanted to check out a traditional pub with live music. I felt so at ease at The Roaring Donkey and was made to feel welcome. Thank you!!

After climbing the hill by the cathedral we were drawn in by the funny name. The staff were super friendly. The locals were chatty. And it was surprising how quickly it started to feel like this was my local pub.

10/11/2024: Nice old world bar with a great Titanic themed vibe. There is very good variety of beers ciders.etc.. Friendly bar staff and a very competitive price, €8.50 for a pint of Guinness and a half pint of cider, I was charged €10.70 in a Cork city bar last night for the same round ! Guinness was very good 7 outta 10.

12/12/2024: Lovely sandwiches and sides with good variation in the menu, staff are super friendly. Slightly on the more expensive side but for the little extra you’re paying you get way better quality then the next cheapest option. Such good food and charming atmosphere! Highly recommend
25/11/2024: Fantastic location downtown. One of the best full Irish breakfasts in Ireland. Coffee was great as well.
