12/02/2024: Decided off the cuff to try this restaurant about 8pm on Sunday evening, 11th Feb.
Staff very welcoming and polite.
Menu has a great selection of starters, anti pasta, seconds/mains and deserts. We didn't have want a big meal, so just olives to start. I ordered a veal dish, with Italian potatoes and vegetables. My wife ordered a pasta dish, with meat and tomato sauce.
The veal, with a deep, rich, mushroom sauce, was blissful. Indulgence at its best. Potatoes and vegetables, perfect. The pasta was also excellent.
To go with the food, we ordered a bottle of Chianti classico, full bodied and very reasonably priced.
Service was perfect, unfussy, polite and responsive.
When leaving, we had a good chat with the owner, he's also head chef. Amazing how difficult it is for restraunts to survive, with increased VAT, and cost of supplies doubling in recent years. Credit to him and his staff. I hope he survives.
Would highly recommend , and will return.
