Route Fourteen Bar and Restaurant Togher in Cork

Visited Route Fourteen with my family for lunch. The food was great, the dining area was spacious, but I have a few points I hope can be considered to improve the service. There were two lunch menus on our visit: one standard lunch menu (same as website) and one specific for the day or week. We ordered from the second menu since they seemed seasonal and more fresh than the regular menu. The prices were similar to other gastropubs around Cork City. I ordered pork belly with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The pork was stuffed with walnuts and dates, a stuffing I would have never thought would taste so nice with pork. Other dishes we had were the "Smash Burger" and Reuben sandwich. We ordered chicken wings with buffalo sauce for starters. Everybody enjoyed their orders but the beef in the Reuben would be better if it was not heated much. For dessert we had a mango and raspberry cheesecake and lemon meringue. Both were presented nicely and tasted amazing. They are best eaten between two people as they are large desserts. We were seated at a bright high table by the window, however we were near a large private booking and I felt a bit under pressure as the staff were setting the tables around us for the arriving diners. Given that the venue was not busy when we arrived, I would have preferred sitting further away from the large group booking. I would highly recommend visiting Route Fourteen on your next day out for lunch or dinner at a gastropub.

Decent food at a reasonable price point.

Had a birthday celebration here last night. 10 people ate and had absolutely no complaints, most amazing onion rings also! Great menu + food choices for Gluten free options are exceptional! Prices are also very reasonable for both food + drinks. Would highly recommend for any occasion or even an evening for drinks. Have had lunch previously and also great. Beautiful bar and Amanda and staff were very friendly, couldn't fault it. Thanks all

Updating my review to change to 5 stars. There has been a massive improvement in the food! And all the staff are lovely to deal with. A great local spot to meet with friends and family for dinner.

A truly hidden Gem, staff are excellent and menu is excellent. Food was exceptional

V good size menu. Everything we had was so tasty, from chowder, chicken burgers, goats cheese salad, monkfish tacos. Very generous portions

A really great experience: the venue was lovely, the food was scrumptious and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. I went here on a trip with ~30 people and it was sublime. Highly recommend!!

Went with large group (prebooked), excellent service provided by Amanda, Conor and Alan. And fabulous Gluten free options available.

Celebrated an 80th birthday in the upstairs bar. A great night was had by all The food, service and decor was excellent. The staff just could not do enough for us.
