Fantastic dining experience at Rúibín! The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the atmosphere was stylish yet relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Definitely one of the best spots for a special meal in Galway — would happily return.

08/2025: Great location, friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. The food was easily one of the best I had in my 7 day trip to Ireland. We had the seabass and the chicken dishes, plus the roasted potatoes and everything was 5⭐️
Update 01/2026: visited again last weekend and it still is my favorite restaurant in Galway. Everything was 5 ⭐️
Highly recommend the oysters, dumplings and cod.

Very nice place at the docks in Galway. I've been here several times either for dinner with my wife or business. Always good quality food, with a lovely atmosphere and great service. Maybe overpriced in some dish.

Everything was good but nothing stood out. Expected more from the cocktails. Service was good but rushed. I’m sure we will come back again at some point but it’s not something that would be towards the top of my list to repeat.

Delicious local food! While visiting for a daytrip from Dublin, I booked Rúibín on a whim a few hours before. I'm so glad I did as according to my partner, it was their favourite meal they had while in Ireland! The food here is pricey, but very much well worth it. Each dish is made using primarily fresh local ingredients and I thoroughly enjoyed each of my dishes equally! I had the trout, duck & a chocolatey dessert which was to die for. The service was pleasant, friendly and respectable. I also recommend their cocktails, they're lovely! We had a lovely table looking onto the bay, although it was dark outside when we arrived so we couldn't appreciate this view. The atmosphere is lovely and inviting inside, with a cosy bistro vibe and a candlelit table. I will definitely be back here upon a future visit to Galway!

Wow, Wow, WOW - and perhaps, WOW again!
Didn't have a reservation, we stopped in for a bite late afternoon and sat at the bar for something to eat. Think tapas, think large portions of tapas and think Irish influence. Food was just delicious.
We had foccacia and miso butter with olives to start, followed by crispty artichoke with chedder custard, ham hock and onions - my stand-out favourite dish of the day, short rib, fried chicken and a thai style pork skewer dishes. Next time we'll just do half of that as there was so much food.
Wines available by the glass as well as by the bottle, cocktails and a few beers on draft.
Really chilled out vibe with great food - will definitely be back.
