Eat here.
We’ve been travelling to through Ireland for two weeks and food as been excellent! But this place is extraordinary! We had a reservation for one evening. I wanted to go back the next, but it was fully booked. So do book in advance. Eat here. You will thank me.

A well crafted and thoughtful menu of delicious sharing plates. While small inside(section of outdoor seating too which we sat in at the end of the evening to finish our wine) it’s a welcoming and comfortable feeling space. The servers and staff were friendly and knowledgeable and it was a great dining experience.

The tomato tonnato toast was life changing, and the dressed oysters were fantastic. The whole John Dory fell a bit flat—too much olive oil muted the flavor, and it needed some fresh, herbaceous notes to balance it out. The baklava, though, was excellent. Bar chairs could be more comfortable, but the vibe more than makes up for it.

St Francis Provisions is a lovely spot right in the centre of Kinsale. It’s a great place to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the town.
Dining al fresco was a highlight, and the strawberry gazpacho was fresh, light, and full of flavour. It paired beautifully with a skilfully poured glass of txakoli by Barbara, who added a really warm and professional touch to the experience.
A really enjoyable visit overall -can’t wait to come back 🙌

I took 18 friends and family members to Kinsale for a week. We rented out The Pier House which was perfect in every way. Ann from Pier House finally got us into St. Frances on our last night. It was off the charts spectacular! Can’t recommend enough!Food is outstanding!

This small restaurant is phenomenal. It’s really a place worthy of a trip alone, ignoring the absolutely beautiful location and village it is in. It is a gem run by a friendly owner and staff and superb food. The Michelin star recognizes the quality more than anything else I could say.
