People drive a long way to get fish and chips here, make sure you are hungry 😋 the portions are huge

I'm not a lover of fish. But these guys knows how to do it. Food it's amazing. And chips are real homecut chips.

Best place around for fish and chips! The Saltee Chipper in Kilmore Quay is an absolute gem. The food is always freshly cooked, perfectly crispy, and full of flavor—without a doubt some of the best fish and chips you’ll find anywhere. The portions are generous, the fish tastes fresh from the sea, and the chips are golden and delicious. Be prepared though, as this spot is very popular, especially on weekends and sunny days, so you might have to wait a little. But honestly, it’s absolutely worth it. The atmosphere is lively, the staff are friendly, and enjoying your meal by the harbour makes the whole experience even better. If you’re visiting Kilmore Quay, this is a must-stop for a proper taste of the seaside!

Nearly didn't go because of bad reviews on here but glad we did. Haddock and chips very good. Pricey yes but that's Ireland for you same every eating establishment. Will definitely go again when next in Kilmore Quay.

Great fresh food and plenty of choice in great location. Suspect some new staff being trained is absolutely fine and we were not in a hurry. We aet in the cafe, needed to ask for everything from behind the counter and nothing offered or given, eg cutlery/napkins. Not cheap and would not expect to be asked to pay for mayo, which we were, by an embarrassed staff member. Will be back though but recommend they give their staff a break and don’t charge for things like this!
