Scannells in Clonakilty

Myself and my rain soaked family rocked up to Scannells yesterday in the hopes of getting a table. It was a full house and the lovely man on the door offered to take my number and call when there was a table. We were just passing through Clonakilty so couldn’t hang around. The fantastic man took pity on us and sat us at the bar till there was a table ready. We had a drink and then we were seated next to a lovely stove to dry off. Our food arrived and was devoured by everyone. There’s no doubt why this lovely pub is so popular. Another reason to love Clonakilty

Scannell's is an absolute gem. Wide choice of really tasty, well prepared food, friendly efficient staff. The place is really well run. I highly recommend and no doubt they will see me yet again.

Pleasant place for lunch, efficient casual service, well presented dishes and above all... very good.

Cracking wee pub and a lovely pint of Guinness. I met a really nice American chap that's lived in Clon for a number of years, his name was Daryl. If you ever see this, it was a pleasure meeting you. I'm the biker from Derry :)

Stopped in here for lunch on the recommendation of the lady at Clonakilty Distillery and boy did they not disappoint! My father, brother and I all ordered the Scannells filet steak sandwiches and they were THE best steak sandwiches we've ever had. Big chunks of amazingly seasoned and perfectly medium cooked steaks with an INCREDIBLE mushroom cream sauce and fried onion straws all on a perfectly fluffy roll. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! The entire staff was amazing and so kind and the restaurant itself was so adorably quaint and welcoming. My family ordered deserts which they said were not only delicious but the presentation was gorgeous as well. I wish I lived there so I could have a steak sandwich every day! Thank you Scannells team! You absolutely nailed it!
