Scannells in Clonakilty

The seafood chowder was good, very generous with the prawns and mussels. But not quite as good as some of the more “fish” heavy chowders we’ve tried elsewhere. The wild mushroom rigatoni and chicken were quite tasty. The scampi was good. The portions in all instances were very generous. Overall a nice experience. The fly that kept landing on the table was kind of friendly. There are a lot of flies around these days. Food only served 12-4pm. No dinner.

Spent little over a week in Ireland traveling around County Cork and this was the best restaurant I visited. Fish and chips, chowder, steak sandwich, and the sticky toffee pudding were to die for; highly recommend!

The other best pub in Clon. Excellent food, steak sandwich was to die for after a 30km run. Highly recommend

Great place, Service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was unreal.

Had lunch here, was busy which is a great sign and now I know why. The steak sandwich was absolutely delicious, packed with flavour, perfectly cooked medium rare. The chicken kebab was just as good, with soft chicken and full of flavour. The staff were welcoming, very attentive and everyone knew what they were doing. All in all, this place ticks all the boxes. Great service, a lovely atmosphere, and fantastic food. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a good experience. Will be back again.

Wonderful experience coming to Scannells for a meal today. The staff were beyond brilliant, all very happy to be there and lovely customer service skills throughout. Food was lovely, and came out quickly even though our waitress explained there would be a slight delay; we weren’t waiting long at all! Lovely little pub, lovely food, FANTASTIC staff!!!!

Scannell's was great for watching the all Ireland final. There was a great crowd there and we had great craic.
