Great hotel, the food is fantastic and the staff is very professional.

From start to finish we were really impressed with this hotel. Beautiful old wordly decor and atmosphere. Hotel organised taxi for us to go to the TLT. Fantastic friendly staff. We had a beautiful dinner and breakfast served to our table. We would come back definitely. A lovely experience and we highly recommend this hotel.

When to the Restaurant on saturday for Lunch.Food was excellent and the staff were brilliant and helpful

Really beautiful hotel, warm and cosy rooms. Water pressure a little unpredictable in the shower at times, but nice hot water available all day long. Really nice service of bringing tea and coffee to the room complementary. Had mixed experiences in the restaurant. Some of the food was delicious however on one of the evenings I was made very sick by their seafood chowder. Overall I would recommend a stay here as I believe my experience with the chowder was an exception rather than the rule.

we loved staying in Scholar's; from the minute we stepped inside the door we were blown away by the welcome, the decor and the comfort. the night porter was extremely pleasant & helpful. even getting a gorgeous hot cup of tea brought to the room was such a simple but fabulous treat! we loved it! and we'll definitely be back.

We come in every March and October to see family in Donegal and Scholars is our first stop. We've been coming for nearly 10 years and it feels like family. The service, the food, and everything about the hotel is wonderful.

Scholars Townhouse Hotel is a lovely listed property. The staff are excellent, and the period decor is beautiful and elegant. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was powerful. It is also located within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, but situated just outside of the centre, so it is very quiet and peaceful.
