Scholars Townhouse Hotel in Drogheda

I love Scholars. It’s a wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. Highly recommend going there for a meal. The rooms are comfortable but a little basic though.

It's a hard line to draw between eclectic decor and cluttered spaces. I think the public areas in the hotel are wonderful and someone has obviously put a lot of thought into them. It's a great base from which to explore the Boyne Valley, Battle of the Boyne Museum, Newgrange and the other burial sites nearby. Staff cannot be faulted - wonderful welcome, wonderful service in the restaurant. Could not have felt more at home with them.

The food was absolutely gorgeous the staff were lovely and the food was top quality I will definitely be back👍👍

I spent a week at the Scholar Hotel. It’s has so much history and character. Very clean, staff is outstanding, over the top in their service. Food was wonderful, breakfast exceptional. I really loved this hotel and would stay here again. And great location.

We went out for a family dinner for my mam’s birthday. The front entrance is lovely with a nice fountain. Staff were really friendly and interacted with you. We had starters - buffalo wings, hummus with focaccia bread both were delicious. For main course we had the fish, chicken burger, a gorgeous butter curry and a risotto. We could just about stomach dessert and we shared the apple crumble and brownie, both again were delicious. Would definitely return for a special occasion!

Very nice hotel! Reception staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was substantial with table service provided. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious and good value.

Weekday lunch, had never been but had always wanted to..wasn’t disappointed! Food, staff and atmosphere was perfect! As was the venue itself! I felt as though I was in a corner of Ashford Castle! Will be back!

Here on a busy Saturday night before Christmas. Great buzz in the bar and restaurant. Had dinner in the restaurant. It was excellent. The food here is fantastic and I found all the staff to be friendly and professional. It's by far the best restaurant around for miles. Book!
