We loved our stay. The staff were fantastic as was the food and bar. The room was quite basic and a little tired as welll as small for 2. Room 105. The shower head needs changing. It was hard to change the temperature on the shower. Need conditioner as well as shampoo. But loved that you had Smart TV. Even with the feedback on the room we throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you xx

This is the second time I have stayed here and once again the moment we arrived we were greeted with such a warm welcome. The room was perfect and the bar/restaurant has a great atmosphere. Excellent service and great food. What an amazing breakfast also. Amazing hosts always going above and beyond.

The place was wonderful!! Amazing structure, room is perfect and very comfortable!! The bar at the hotel is fab, and the hospitality service too!! The guys really made us feel comfortable and at home!! The view from my window in the morning made it more than perfect!! Ill be back soon for sure!!

I stayed in Scholars Hotel this week and it was absolutely fabulous. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and luxurious! The rooms have a boutique feel and are spotless! Not to mention the amazing staff who couldn’t have been more hospitable towards us all. Would 100% recommend for a night away as the location is brilliant also, very close to the town.

Here on a busy Saturday night before Christmas. Great buzz in the bar and restaurant. Had dinner in the restaurant. It was excellent. The food here is fantastic and I found all the staff to be friendly and professional. It's by far the best restaurant around for miles. Book!

Our hotel was undergoing restaurant renovations so we headed into the centre and found this gem. All oak panels and small rooms inside we were thoroughly impressed by the food and the service. Proper Irish fare in a lovely setting.

05/01/2025: I love this place, the vibes, the tunes, the staff, iconic, immaculate! Updating this too cause I would highly recommend if one of your gang is the designated driver, as they've started doing mocktails and the Cuddle on the Beach was so good and very reasonably priced! Hoping they expand the mocktail range too but the cocktail range they have now is stunning should you be having a drink!

Black Bull Inn

29/01/2025: We’ve had both good and bad experiences with food in the Black Bull. At the start we went every couple of weeks and couldn’t fault it. But since before Christmas, probably around October we’ve noticed a decline in the quality of the food being served and with the service. We keep saying let’s give it one more chance and end up regretting it. I don’t like writing bad or average reviews but this is one I feel is needed and I hope the owners take it on board and it improves as we will probably give it one last try. Shame as for me it’s always been a drogheda institution
