Classically Irish. Lovely restaurant. I’ve eaten here a few times and would recommend. The building is beautiful. The interior design is fabulous. It’s nice in the morning for breakfast, evening lunch and even better at night with the lights for a cosy dinner.

One of the best restaurants in Drogheda. Delicious food, but a little bit pricier than other venues. Great service and attentive staff. Upmarket. Often host Wine Tasting Evenings which are really very good. Important to book to guarantee a table.

Lovely hotel in cosy surroundings. Had dinner in Gastro Lounge. Absolutely delicious. Had pan fried salmon with polenta cake in a veloute with broccoli stems. It was melt un mouth. Partner had sirloin steak and again delicious. Had pecan and apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. Partner had salted caramel tart. Again both amazing. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff and great service. Definitely go again and would recommend

Our hotel was undergoing restaurant renovations so we headed into the centre and found this gem. All oak panels and small rooms inside we were thoroughly impressed by the food and the service. Proper Irish fare in a lovely setting.

The Christmas menu is particularly impressive, offering a festive twist on their already fantastic offerings—it’s a must-try for anyone looking to celebrate the season with great food. The staff are always kind, respectful, and attentive, making us feel welcome every single time. We strongly recommend the Black Bull Inn and are already looking forward to our next visit!
