Excellent hotel Excellent service and the food was 5 star

Just back from a 2 night stay at Schull Harbour hotel. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a 3 bedroom dog friendly apartment. The apartment is very well equipped and comfortable with plenty of space. We ate in the hotel and the food choice and service was top class. The leisure centre is a great addition to the hotel. The location is spectacular, I was lucky enough to catch the most beautiful sunset and sunrise over the harbour. Schull is a great base for exploring all of what West Cork has to offer. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank You for a wonderful stay.

Had a lovely overnight stay. Staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable. Ate in the restaurant, good selection and very tasty.

The best bar in Downings-very old bar with low ceilings and great atmosphere-overlooks the bay from the outside seating-lots of friendly locals (many thanks to Seamus and Helen for the great tip about the Thursday night special dinner at the Downings Bay Hotel) ; good conversation, seems to be busy always so seating might be tight in late afternoon

The location is excellent and the room was perfect. The only disappointment was the quality of the food and the food service. We would stay again but we would not eat at the hotel

Staff were all very friendly and attentive, wonderful location and really enjoyed the selection of cured meats and cheese at breakfast. We had a lovely peaceful stay so we would 10/10 recommend to a friend and hope to return again next year.

Reopened in summer 2022 after extensive renovations, the hotel has updated its style but kept that lovely relaxed beachside vibe. The tables out the front were full all week of people enjoying cocktails in the sunshine but there is also an indoor pool for those rainy days. There are both rooms and apartments available - our apartment was large and airy with plenty of amenities. The whirlpool jet bath was a big hit with the kids - for once we didn't have to argue with them about getting clean! The food was great and the staff are fantastic too, always quick to help and with a joke, and brilliant with our kids. Car park across the road can be challenging to find a space in (it's not the hotels car park, it's a public one) but you can generally park nearby in the church grounds.

Lovely spot despite the rain. Friendly staff, got food from Fisk and ate in the bar as we had our dog with us . Food was Delicious. And what a view !!
