Takeaway only, not eat-in. Used to be better. The side of saag paneer had almost no paneer in it at all. Maybe three or four cubes. The poppadoms that used to come free with the food is now…one poppadom. There are about three large prawns in a king prawn dish and a huge amount of sauce which is too much based on the quantity of protein. Feels like the cost accountants have been in.

12/09/2025: Lovely dinner. Especially liked the samosas. They were fantastic. But all of the food was really good.
23/08/2025: Just had a meal for 2 at the Royal spice Kilkenny. And what a meal it was , I had the chicken tikka masala with keema nan bread rice and chips , as you do . Well as I said to the guys serving there ,who may I say were excellent and very friendly, that food was like a wet dream!! highly recommended. Best Indian in years, in fact its the best Indian we have ever had in Ireland.

13/12/2025: The perfect place for good quality food in Kilkenny. Highly recommended.
03/12/2025: The food was very tasty but the portions are small; the tiny bowl of rice left me unsatisfied and a refill was not offered. The photos are misleading, not a white tablecloth in sight. The heating must have broken down as the cold seeped into the bones. It was a quiet Wednesday night, yet the server would not permit us to sit at our table of choice, as it was supposedly for an invisible 4 diners and we were 2. So we cramped into the tiny table, surrounded by many others more comfortable but spectacularly empty. Excellent O'Hara craft beer with very tasty if small dinner.
