Best smashed burger I've ever tasted. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff

Came here fairly late on a Tuesday (I think) night in February 2025 - was in Wexford for 1 night for work. The pub was quiet as you might expect given the time. For a time there was only myself and the landlord there but we had a brilliant chat and before I knew it I was a few pints deep. The range of beers was top class. Wish I'd been in earlier for food. Would have gone back if I'd had the opportunity to.

Had a lovely dinner at Simon’s place. Service was efficient and very friendly. Tried a pint of the local Yelowbelly beer which was light and refreshing. I had the pulled pork tacos with the Cajun fries and they were excellent! Probably the best pulled pork I’ve ever had to be honest. And my husband had the brisket which he also loved. Would definitely go back!

I've only seen the mural outside the pub. It's looks pretty cool.

What a lovely find! The staff at Simon's Place are incredibly friendly, and the whole atmosphere is just so cozy. Great food, fantastic pints, and a wonderful experience all around!

We went for dinner here and were quite pleased with it. I've tasted a lot of pulled pork in my life, and genuinely think the pulled pork here is one of the nicest I've ever had. Generous portions, and the staff were extremely friendly. Prices were good for the amount of food we received too.
