First I’ll say the atmosphere was average because it could have been any small restaurant. However…I would give Sola a 6+ for the food alone! Wonderful food, desserts, wines, and coffee.
Fantastic meal here as always 😋 the scallop ceviche is to die for. The croquettes never disappointed...we missed the lobster&monkfish paella as we left it too late to order but the lamb more than made up for it....
We eat here every time we are in Dingle and it never disappoints. Can't recommend highly enough...

As people who genuinely love good food and seek out memorable dining experiences wherever we go, Solas in Dingle blew us away—it now ranks in our top three meals ever, right alongside a standout restaurant in Italy and another in France.
From start to finish, the experience was flawless. We ordered a wide selection of dishes and not a single bite disappointed. Highlights included the Grilled Sourdough and Confit Cherry Tomatoes—simple but elevated. The Realt Na Mara Rock Oyster with Smoked Sea Trout Caviar was a salty-sweet masterpiece. The Queen Scallop Ceviche was bright, balanced, and bursting with flavor.
For mains, the Belly of Pork was perfectly tender, while the East Kerry Rib of Beef was rich and unforgettable. And the lamb special? 100/10. Truly one of the best lamb dishes we’ve ever had.
Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully plated, and executed with precision. If you’re anywhere near Dingle, do not miss Solas!

Our first time eating at this darling restaurant and I can see why there are so many positive reviews. The food is very fresh, and the choices are endless. Left not feeling hungry, which is sometimes the downfall of tapas. The staff was efficient, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it.

I was really excited to try Solas in Dingle last weekend, however we left a bit disappointed. We ordered six dishes: scallop ceviche, potato and olive juice hash, realt na mara oyster, patatas bravas, crab tartlet and the fig tempura.
I found that the combination of some flavours didn’t work especially well (too much sweetness in the fig tempura and potato hash without contrasting taste)
Some dishes - particularly the potato hash and crab tartlet were very under salted. The crab tartlet and patatas bravas were delicious however, and there was a generous amount of crab there.
Overall not quite the tapas experience we were looking for as there isn’t really a huge sharing element to the dishes (portions are one or two units) I probably wouldn’t return.

Tasty, well made food, with creative flavors and obviously fresh ingredients. The staff were pleasant and the atmosphere was nice.
We were visiting from Canada and we're very happy to see this quality of food being served in little Dingle. I am gluten free and they were more than happy to accommodate. Kudos to the staff.

Loved it, no surprise to learn afterwards it has a Michelin bib. Sardine dish was my favourite, croquettes great too. Amazing experience

We were amazed with the food at Solas. Very attentive staff. Beautifully presented. The only problem which isn't their fault was a large group who were extremely loud. It's such a small, intimate place that the noise level
is pretty bad.
