My wife and I stopped in here for supper after seeing it earlier in the day and we were not disappointed. Everything was excellent, the atmosphere, food, and service were top notch. I would highly recommend the Tandoori Garlic Chilli Chicken and my wife would recommend the House Special Curry. A must visit if you are in Barna!

Barna Spice never disappoints! I’ve been here a few times now and each visit is just as welcoming as the last. The staff are warm, friendly, and love a good chat—true Irish-Indian hospitality! The food is always fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.

20/12/2025: Excellent friendly service and delicious food and pints as we sheltered from the weather during our December visit. Cosy lounge, with a pleasant relaxed ambience to enjoy a pint. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Best of all it’s very dog friendly and even has a pet menu. So good we came back the next day when the rain hit (again!)
27/10/2025: The staff and food were both top notch! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and got our food out quickly! The food was also extremely delicious we almost ate here both nights of our stay!

30/11/2025: We are regulars at Blackthorn because it’s our favourite restaurant in Galway. The food is really special and creative, always tastes amazing. We have never been disappointed. The service is wonderful, especially Fergal who knows every aspect of the menu and guides us through the wine list. Definitely go!
