I accidentally knocked over a glass while tasting the beer and had to refill it for free

Now this is the second time around that the place wasn’t full or busy and the pizza wasn’t properly cooked. The dough was floppy and it could have been left at least another 3 minutes in the oven. Def don’t come here and expect a good bar pizza.

Came across this bar while out and about in Kilkenny on Friday, loved it so much we came back again on Saturday. Great selection of beers which were reasonably priced, much cheaper than some of the tourist traps we were in earlier. Atmosphere in the bar was super chilled and friendly. Great big semi enclosed area out the back, with loads of private huts also. All staff were brilliant, especially Diarmuid who looked after us both nights. Good knowledge of the beers he served and was more than happy to help steer each person in our group towards beers which he thought would suit them. Top place all round.

Food was top notch, staff were nice but my god what an utterly shambles! 1 HR waiting for a pizza. And they told us it could be another 30 mins! Had to call the staff numerous times and we were fed utter nonsense about the 'website overloaded' and 'for some reason ye were put to the back of the q's on our system ' they forgot us!!! That's what happened. (there was maybe 80 to 100 there if which id say 20 were eating) When we requested a refund the food arrived rapidly. They have a qr order system on the tables. Its not fit for purpose. Every single order that came we watched the staff and they hadn't a clue what table it was for. You could just see all these people going 'no no not our food' Every table is numbered ?? Food A1 , beer A1, service poor!

Sullivan's tap room is without a doubt one of Kilkenny's best hidden gems, situated just off John street. This local business offers a wide range of crafted ales along with some beautiful food I definitely recommend trying the pizza and wings!! Offering onsite accommodation also. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure your visit is one to remember, Megan the manager was very helpful in suggesting other local businesses to and landmarks to visit. I'll definitely be back again REGARDS, The happy customer 😎

Went twice in the space of 3 weeks. First time with a group of friends. Food took ages to come and all I had ordered was chips and the chicken ceaser salad. No croutons, parmasan or dressing jus lettuce 3 prices of bacon and the chicken. It had taken so long to come I just wasn't bothered rectifying it and it was so busy the chips were lovely. Second time to arrive was with my husband and child. I ordered the food all at once at the counter but it all came separately a nice few minutes apart and we were nearly finished by the time the wings and my husbands chips arrived. I had ordered the hot wings but the ones given to me were honey, again due to how busy it was and the initial waiting time I knew it would take too long to wait for it to be sorted. I think the flow of food needs to be sorted. The order on the receipt really should all come at once. Perhaps one in charge of counter orders and another for the app order Food was OK I had the burger with the wings but the pizzas do look yummy and my husband and child were happy with theirs, apart from the wait. My husband got his chips when he was nearly done the pizza The atmosphere is very good and I like that it is dog friendly, it is a really nice place and if you are in no rush then it's a nice spot for a beer and pizza.
