Food was good, service was not so good, serve was abrupt and rushed .

Clearly the best restaurant we've been to in Ireland. Succulent dishes and an excellent wine selection. To top it all off, a lovely and helpful staff. All this for a more than reasonable bill.

We had a lovely dinner at The Supper Club in Kinsale. We ordered a bottle of champagne to accompany our meal. After a few minutes, our waiter returned to let us know that there was no chilled champagne available at the moment. However, he had placed a bottle on ice and asked if we wouldn’t mind waiting a little while until it was properly chilled. We appreciated the honesty and agreed without any issue.
A short time later, he came back to inform us that the kitchen was experiencing delays due to a high number of orders. Again, we were understanding. Then another waiter came over and offered us a partially used bottle of Laurent Perrier that had been opened earlier in the evening for other guests, assuring us that the remaining two glasses would be served later. We agreed to this as well.
Unfortunately, the last two glasses never arrived. After settling the bill, I went to the bar to respectfully ask about them. The waiter was very friendly, apologized for the oversight, and assured me he would take care of it immediately. I asked if he could please serve the champagne—as before—in a white wine glass instead of a flute.
Up until that point, the evening had been fantastic. However, at that moment, another waiter called out from across the bar, saying that this would make a big difference and that it wasn’t acceptable. I explained politely that I didn’t want more champagne than what would fit in a flute—just that I preferred the wine glass we had been served earlier.
What affected me most was the implication that I was trying to get more champagne than agreed upon. That assumption felt unfair and somewhat humiliating—especially given that I had already been put in the awkward position of having to follow up at the bar in the first place.
Thankfully, the original waiter handled it gracefully and poured the champagne as requested. Although the interaction left a slightly awkward impression, it didn’t take away from what was otherwise a very enjoyable experience.
A lovely evening overall—though it could have ended on a more gracious note.

Food was very delicious, the meats were all done very well and the vegetable especially the potatoes were cooked in an interesting way and very tasty. Chocolate peanut butter walnut cake was nice too.
Service is average no complaint, had to sit outside which is a bit bother as there were a lot of smokers but not the fault of the restaurant.

Amazing dinner started out with 3 raw oysters and 3 grilled and they were both amazing then we did the tuna tartare. Then the we had the tuna special and kids pasta with bao buns. The whiskey sour was also a must try.

we cannot praise the food enough. Definitely the best food we have had during our Ireland trip. The cod was exceptional and the ragu pasta was extremely tasty. The staff are very attentive and made for a great evening out.
We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant. The cod was wrapped in nori which was so creative and the pate was awesome-made at the restaurant.

Located in the centre of Kinsale Harbour, pre booking is generally essential. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food with plenty of Coeliac options.
