The best spot in Galway! Wow! Amazing music, bartenders and the people there were amazing! We will be back when we visit again! Connor was the best!

Taaffes Bar is an iconic, historic pub with over 150 years of history, located at 19 Shop Street in the heart of Galway's vibrant Latin Quarter. It is renowned worldwide for being one of the city's absolute hotspots for live Irish traditional music (trad sessions) and for the excellent quality of its Guinness. Traditional music starts daily at 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM (the evening session begins at 9:00 PM on Sundays). Over the years, it has hosted legendary Irish folk artists such as Sharon Shannon and Sean Keane. There is no cover charge or admission fee. GAA Spirit: It is a renowned sports pub, decorated with Gaelic Athletic Association memorabilia and the county's tribal colors (brown and white). Unlike other purely music-focused pubs in the area, Taaffes also offers traditional food. It serves hot and hearty pub fare (such as Irish stews, fish chowder, and soups) until 5:00 PM. Breakfast is available until 12:00 PM. In addition to the famous pint of Guinness, the Irish coffee and a curated selection of local whiskeys and gins are also highlights.
