Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis

Superb hotel, and such a great location.

Nice and friendly staff great sense of humour helpful in anyway they can and great value for money for your money

We checked in New Years Eve for a family wedding. I booked online months in advance, and discovered other family members who booked much later had received a much better rate and room quality. Booking online didn't give the information that we were part of a wedding party (my fault perhaps). At checkout the receptionist confirmed that the difference I had paid was because of my online booking. The real disappointment was the room. TV didn't work, no standard13amp power points close to bed which meant I couldn't use my sleep apnea device and the heating was too hot, only controllable by manually turning off radiator. The room was spotlessly clean as was the rest of the hotel.

And I wonder why there wohld have a need to say ahead of time, that the hotel may not be the same standard that we kight be used to. Sitting into the lobby of Temple Gate Hotel, is a step back in time. However, it did not prepare me for my room. The furnishings were reminiscent of the furniture we had in the house, back in the 80s and I think the last time I seen a TV that small, I was playing Atari on it. The breakfast options were lackluster. I don't eat eggs or meat and pkrridge is an acquired taste, that I have not acquired. So I had to make due with untoasted bread and coffee. Please add cheese to the breakfast offerings!!

Well located, rooms are comfortable and clean. Bar is excellent.

Small euro rooms but nice duvets and hot water. Just decorated for Christmas in the lobby and sitting room.

Nice Hotel in the centre of Ennis, The room was good only the central heating was on too high and i couldn't find a way to turn it down. There was good security to get to the rooms and the maid was very friendly. The public areas were beautiful, a nice bar and restaurant. We enjoyed a nice breakfast again the service was friendly. As an upgrade management may want to consider a Nespresso machine in the rooms with complimentary capsules which most Hotels of this calibre see to provide these days.

A fabulous hotel, the staff are the best I've ever encountered..exceptional nothing was a problem. We got upgraded and what a surprise. We were attending the 80s icon band in Glor theatre ..we stayed 2 nights, great location near everything its just 5 minutes walk to theatre, town etc The food is really nice too great variety, thank you We look forward to our next visit
