Tequila Jacks in Cork

I went there for dinner today with four people, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. I ordered a burger from the kids’ menu, and it was really bad. We also had chicken wings, which were actually good, and a burrito that was supposed to be not spicy. All the dishes arrived except for the burrito, which took a long time. When it finally came, it was spicy, even though we had specifically asked for it not to be. We asked one waiter about the delay, and he said he would check on it, but he never came back. After the burrito arrived and we had already started eating, we asked another waiter if it was supposed to be that spicy. He also said he would check, and again, never returned. Overall, the service was very disappointing.

Had a booking for 25 people for a hen and from the very start it was such an easy process. Niamh was so helpful, and the team were great with the allergies in our group. The finger food was lovely too, and we really appreciated the special plates made up to accommodate the allergens. We were delighted with everything - thanks so much again!

Javier is an absolute king he served us the cocktail of the week it was so delicious all 5 of us will definitely back again because of how friendly and great he was. Best drink of the night thank you again.

Wow cannot believe how good this spot is - live sports beautiful music and food is delicious . Staff are wonderful and very good hidden gem .

This was my second visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately the experience with the food was disappointing both times. Although the dishes were nicely presented, they lacked flavour and tasted as if they had been reheated, making the food really dry. The main reasons we decided to return were the cocktails and the atmosphere, which we really enjoy, and the staff were pleasant and welcoming.

Tequila Jack’s has honestly become one of our favourite places to visit in Cork. Me and my partner have been here quite a few times now, and it’s one of those spots we keep coming back to whenever we want a guaranteed good evening — great food, brilliant drinks and an atmosphere that just never disappoints. The location alone already sets the tone. The food is genuinely incredible. For a Mexican restaurant outside Mexico, they really get the flavours right. The tacos are easily some of the best in Cork — fresh toppings, properly seasoned fillings and soft tortillas that don’t fall apart halfway through eating. We’ve also had the fajitas a few times and they always come out sizzling hot, generous portions and full of flavour. Their loaded nachos are huge and perfect-my love.The guacamole tastes fresh and made in-house, and you can actually taste the lime and coriander rather than just mashed avocado. Even the sides like street corn and fries are done properly.Service has always been great whenever we’ve gone. Staff are friendly, relaxed and attentive without hovering. The vibe is another reason we love it. The music, the décor, the lighting — it actually feels like a fun night out. Me and my partner absolutely love coming here and it’s become our go-to spot. Highly recommend — and we’ll definitely keep coming back.

Love it here! Food and atmosphere is always 10/10. And the best margaritas in town. Yum 😋

I always go back there for my favorite steak salad, now they have changed it, there are no tortillas and black beans. The service is always great. It's a pity that this salad is no longer available, it is similar but not the same.
