The Auld Shebeen Bar Athy in Athy

Stayed for two nights in the Auld Shabeen the room was excellent spotless clean had dinner in the bar food and service was amazing lovely staff and the owner couldn't do enough for us great experience would highly recommend a stay here looking forward to coming back again

Popped in for quick dinner. Have heard mixed reviews. Had to come home and cook after what I had so….! Had a buffalo chicken burger. Chicken thigh in some sort of southern coating, small bun and frightened with some dressings. Small bowl of chips. I actually asked waitress if I had mistakenly ordered a kids burger! Fish and chips other half had was ok apparently. Will try again at some point as would like to have somewhere fairly local to go but it’s far too expensive for what’s on offer or at least what is presented. Fairly poor. Staff absolutely lovely though. Wouldn’t encourage us back for food at least.

Last night in Ireland...food was hot, fresh and steak a perfect medium rare! Busy, fun pub/restaurant. Give it a try if you're in this area! Service friendly and good!

Hybrid pub between classic and more modern, but still a nice environment. You can breathe the typical convivial air of the Irish. Excellent food, as well as the service
