The Barn in Cork

Got the Ceasar salad, full rack of ribs, and a side of chips. Meat of the ribs just fell off the bone, deliciously, salad was crispy and creamy in all the best ways, and chips were done perfect. The staff were very friendly (Aaron served us and his service was top notch). I ate all the food too fast so I forgot to take a picture, but I’ll include a pic of the receipt to prove I’ve actually been here. In the hot weather, the outdoor seating area was perfect, the fairy lights set a lovely vibe, the prices were very very reasonable, and to top everything off, we were served at one point by a robot!

Great restaurant that's been popular for many years! Good variety on the menu and everything done to a high standard. The staff are very efficient and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Have been there many times. Booking recommended!

Beautiful place for food, fun and nice environment.

Comfort and class personified!This is a fantastic venue for all ages.The location the parking and the brilliant staff.The menu caters for everyone.The owners have delivered a true gem! Looking forward to my next visit.One of the staff is called Mary T the driving force in this well oiled machine.If I had a similar business she would be my first employee.She's polished and professional and engaging with all the customers.Small faults!The robots were nice at the beginning but proved to be annoying and difficult get around my son nearly fell because it kept spitting in a circle.And I feel the managers are more like prison wordens can be quiet uncomfortable sometimes there too intense!!

Top class.... very good food and very good value

We used to go to The Barn and it was great but recently it was just okay. The atmosphere wasn't as nice as usual, it was sunny outside but we were seated in the shade where it was freezing even though there were free tables and the match playing through the speakers really killed the vibe. The waiter we had was very pushy and had a weird attitude, I wanted the carvery roll but with chicken instead of steak and he repeatedly said there was a chicken roll as if I was an idiot even though I tried to explain it was a completely different roll and I wanted this one just without beef and he asked me why I would want that? Very unprofessional. But we asked to switch tables and the waitress we got was great, all of the girls were lovely and trying their best even though they seemed short staffed. The weird robot delivery service was unsettling and seemed a bit benign, it couldn't even get around properly and the waitresses had to run around after it and take the food off of it anyway, seemed like more hassle for them. The food is usually amazing but it was fine, nothing to phone home about. It's unfortunate the quality seems to have gone down

I rarely find the time to get away by myself for a while. I decided to treat myself to a late breakfast in The Barn in Mayfield. Even though it was a busy Sunday morning (and even busier because of it being a bank holiday), I felt that the service was excellent and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I was seated quickly, my order was taken promptly and the food was served a very short time later. At no point did I feel that I wasn't being looked after or catered to properly. As a solo diner, I was aware that in terms of revenue, I wasn't the most profitable table, but that didn't matter to the servers. They were constantly checking to see that I was ok for everything The customer service experience here is top-notch, the menu is diverse (and I have yet to come across menu items that I dislike!) and I've been back multiple times since.

As a regular i have seen various things but lately in a downward trend especially on Wednesdays seems to be a constant bad hair day!! It seems when regular older staff are not present and the place falls apart along with the atmosphere, and the service again today was terrible, June 10th waiting 30mins for Breakfast, regulars come for regular reliable service and atmosphere...its clear its changing, maybe the regular patrons will change too!
