The Barn in Cork

Recommend a visit here if staying around Glanmire or Little Island or passing through. Scenery from rooofed patio is great and atmosphere very nice. Food was excellent deserts are very tasty. Its clearly a popular spot and staff are kept very busy but it had no impact on service all excellent.

The overall experience was decent. The food was good, although there is definitely some room for improvement, especially when it comes to the menu and variety. The service was also fine. The place itself is spacious and comfortable, which makes for a nice and relaxed atmosphere. However, cleanliness could be improved. The tables, chairs, and the venue in general could use a bit more attention in this regard. Overall, not a bad experience, but with better cleanliness and some improvements to the food and menu, it could be much better.

First time coming here and I was really impressed!! Can’t say a bad word about this place. It looks gorgeous (the views!), all the staff were so helpful and friendly, the selection of food was amazing. I went for carvery (turkey and ham) and my partner got the beef brisket and both of them were absolutely delicious. I also got the Biscoff ice cream and a pornstar martini which were equally as nice. Nicest carvery I have ever had, and I’m still dreaming of it!! Will definitely be back here again!!

I had a mixed experience at The Barn Gastropub. The atmosphere was fine overall, but the front-of-house interaction left me a bit put off, especially with the uneven greeting. It’s a shame, because a place like this should make everyone feel welcome from the start.

Very nice restaurant with outdoor dining overlooking the fields . You can order at table with QR code for split bills 💵 . We went for lunch had the prawn cocktail, Which was delivered by a robot. Soup of the day and vegan bowl . Lunch was roast of the day which was great a lot of choice of lamb beef pork and all vegetables as you can pick what you want . Others had the fish n chips (best chips in cork)!! The we had the strawberry roulade with cream for desserts and a Carmel sundae . Service staff very good . Only thing that wasn’t happy was vacuuming during lunch!!!

Lovely relaxing place with good food and great service. Both Mary T and Mary made us feel right at home!

A nice place to have lunch, we eat here with a large group of teenagers, plus about 10 adults. Very good service, a nice selection of food available at the carvery. Nice staff, car parking available. Recommend for a large group. Reservations made before hand.

Excellent service from Gustavo! He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. His customer service was outstanding and really made our visit even better. Highly recommended!
