Came in for a well needed meal after a service across the road, Beamish was lovely and Lasagne hearty and filling. 15€ for the lasagne was very nicely priced, considering the large size of the portion.
Will be returning!

I recently went on a first date here because I wanted to go somewhere quiet, away from the city, with a decent pint, and to enjoy a conversation in comfort and privacy. These points were especially important as my date was a recent widow who lost her husband in a house fire and was nervous going back on the dating scene - and I'm married.
First of all, let me say that the pints of stout are some of the best in Ireland, and very reasonably priced. 10/10. Cannot be faulted.
However, I think the management of this establishment need to take a look inward and question their morals regarding some of the clientele they are letting in. As my night progressed, it felt less and less like The Beer Garden which was recommended to me, and more and more like Tony Soprano's house. There were several groups of young men talking extremely loudly and aggressively, and openly talking about taking cocaine.
As time progressed, they went from convivial and gregarious, to misanthropic and boisterous. As chaos ensued, my date and I became increasingly uncomfortable as the gang of drug addicts began moving closer and closer to our seats. At one point we were in such close range that I could hear every word of their conversation. One of them was gloating about how he punched a swan at The Lough.
A short time later, they were so close that they were basically sitting under my nose. At that point, I felt so uncomfortable and was wishing I could just snort them out of existence. My date and I excused ourselves and left the establishment and walked in silence the whole way home. Needless to say, my day was ruined.
Good Beamish though, I will return.
