Lovely pub, very homely, had the roast dinner, very tasty. Bad area for parking but there is parking down the road at the back of the wicklow arms.

Very comfortable pub, hotel and restaurant. I had to stay here for two nights after our ferry was cancelled and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I was working remotely in my room and on the day I had to leave, the staff kindly let me work from the bar while it was still closed after vacating my room so it could be cleaned. Pamela and Kevin go the extra mile for guests!

We love the Bellevue restaurant and go there regularly. So it was a natural choice for my husband's surprise 60th. From start to finish, Mark, Alan and Kevin could not have done more for us. From smuggling a cake in to accommodation for travelling guests, to a champagne reception and 'Surprise!' upstairs, right through to the most amazing menu and food, we're still getting compliments from our friends about the fabulous night we had. I can't say enough or recommend The Bellevue highly enough. Food, service, atmosphere and that added attention to customers, it's always a superb experience. Blessed to have it on our doorstep!

In November, we had a private party to celebrate our wedding that was hosted within the Bellevue Restaurant at the Horse and Hound in Delgany. This was a very happy occasion which was enhanced immensely by this wonderful venue. This is our favourite restaurant, and it was great to share it with our immediate family and friends. Mark was absolutely brilliant when helping us to plan the day. All his suggestions were perfect. I am still amazed at how having linen on the tables made such a difference! Our celebration started at 3 O'clock with a choice of drinks while people were arriving. This was followed by a wonderful meal, and then some of the tables were cleared and everyone enjoyed the mandatory boogie!! :) Our playlist was made up of fast-paced music. In hindsight, a top tip would be to intersperse the fast music with some slower numbers to allow people to catch their breath!! As you can see from the attached photo, the menu was decent, with a great selection for people to enjoy. It was very impressive how efficiently the team were able to deliver everyone's choices. Everyone was highly complimentary about the food the place and the people. All day Mark was very attentive and kept us in the loop as to what was happening and what was going to happen next. We hosted 53 people, and oh boy, did they keep the guys busy all day into the early hours! :) I have very fond memories of this great day and highly recommend this venue both as a restaurant and an ideal place to host a celebration! Thanks again to all the team who made our day very special both front of house and those who slaved in the kitchens! We truly appreciated and enjoyed your work!

We ended up at The Horses and Hounds in Delgany due to all the filming happening in the area, which made it hard to find a room elsewhere. I'm so glad we stayed here! It turned out to be a charming, family friendly spot filled with character and warmth... From the moment we checked in, Elena was incredibly welcoming, setting a positive tone for our visit. Ben at the bar was fantastic, providing friendly service that made our evenings enjoyable. The location is great, right next to a lively Irish pub that adds a fun atmosphere with its music. While it can be a bit lively for some, I found it added to the experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with every meal showcasing local flavours... Despite a couple of minor issues, the overall experience far outweighed them. This is truly a 5/5 place, and we will definitely be back! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable!

We were seated at a nice table, but there was a lot of noise from the Bar & we could see the TV in the Bar from where we were sitting. There was a Rugby Match on so very noisy. We asked if they could close the door to be told the door was removed from its hinges, so No Door. I would love to hear the Fire Officers Opinion on that one. The Waitress pulled over a curtain to try dampen the noise We started with Cocktails which were nice The Starters were absolutely amazing, lots of layers of flavours and textures Unfortunately the mains were shocking, my wife had the fish and I had the pork, both were way overcooked and over seasoned, neither of us finished the mains as the food was too salty and too tough and dry We tried here twice before and left a gap to this visit to see if it improved The lighting and setting is better than before, starters are excellent, but mains and noise from the bar was not acceptable, so I can't see us returning anytime soon

The Hungry Monk

24/01/2025: Lovely starters but went downhill after that.. unfortunately our “specials board” rib-eye steaks were inedible, could hardly cut them let alone eat them. Also the Eton mess was not good - tiny bits of meringue and too much cream, could do a lot better! The crème brûlée were v nice. We were offered to have different mains but as were part of a birthday party group and didn’t want fuss, we declined and just ate the sides. Disappointed with the food as was looking forward to a special night out.
14/01/2025: The atmosphere and staff are nice. For an average, food is a little bit overpriced
