The Candle Room in Killarney

Lovely location and accommodating staff. Booked the suite and the whole hotel was decorated in the spirit of Christmas which was lovely. Just one minor suggestion: Consider partnering with local artists for artwork to be added to rooms and potentially it being able to be research via qr code and purchased.

Room was very comfortable, the perfect size with plenty of space, but not too big. Excellent bathroom. Service at the hotel were excellent. All staff were outstanding, very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent, poached egg and avocado was delicious, eggs perfectly cooked. Having access to the swimming pool at the Great Southern was a great bonus and it is only across the road from the townhouse.

I stayed in this hotel on 10/23-25/2025. The hotel is truly lovely, the rooms spacious. The food is excellent and the staff is warm, attentive and kind. I highly recommend.

Fantastic location for a stay in Killarney. Cannot fault the service we received from the very friendly and efficient staff. The meal in the restaurant was lovely. Super comfortable and clean room. We will definitely be back .

Absolutely fabulous hotel, the rooms were well laid out and luxurious, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the little details like the personalised greeting card and treats made our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again when travelling to Killarney

Her care and attention to detail made everything seamless and stress-free. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Joanne with champagne. She instantly made us feel like part of the family and set the tone for what became an unforgettable stay and wedding lunch. The private area set up for our lunch was absolutely beautiful, with every detail thoughtfully arranged. The waiting staff, especially Bina/Berl, were exceptional, friendly, attentive and professional. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better. Our room was beautifully presented, with thoughtful touches and little gifts that made it feel so special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was lovely and hot, perfect after a long and happy day. The breakfast was incredible, with plenty of choice and everything cooked to perfection. The leaving gift of the scones was such a warm and classy gesture, and the champagne and strawberries on arrival for our photos were the perfect finishing touch. Every element of our visit was handled with genuine warmth and care. We were truly blown away and will be speaking very highly of the entire team. Celebrated our Golden Wedding A niversary at Killarney Royal as we were in Killarney on our honeymoon. Really lovely hotel, staff & service top class.

We had a beautiful time. The hotel is so comfortable, clean and cosy. The location is ideal, right beside the town and train station. The staff and hospitality is world class and we will undoubtedly return one day soon I hope.

We had such a wonderful experience here! My daughter has a severe egg allergy, which can make eating out really stressful, but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel safe and cared for. From the moment we sat down, our server asked thoughtful questions and double-checked with the kitchen to ensure her meal was completely egg-free. Additionally the food was delicious. We will definitely return the next time we visit Killarney.
