The Candle Room in Killarney

The place has a regal charm, with elegantly styled rooms and spacious bathrooms. The staff are exceptionally kind and supportive, adding to the warm and cozy atmosphere. The location is also very convenient. At first, I was slightly annoyed by the requirement to hand over my room key at the reception every time I left. But upon reflection, I found it to be a thoughtful and personal touch. Being greeted by a staff member each time I returned, accompanied by a genuine smile, turned this small routine into a moment of connection that I came to truly appreciate.

We have stayed at a number of hotels in Killarney and we would rank the Killarney Royal Hotel as our first choice. The staff, accommodations and food were just terrific!

We came here just for breakfast. We tried a bunch of things like Egg Benedict, Omlette with Mushroom, Pancakes, Yogurt with Compote, Selection of bread, and everything was good. A few things that could improve are that the bread on Egg Benedict was very hard to cut or chew. They should serve Mayple Syrup with Pancakes instead of Honey. The ambiance was very good. The people who served were very nice. Overall good place for breakfast when in Killarney.

We enjoyed our stay at Royal Killarney. The room was large and fresh with a new bathroom. The included breakfast was plentiful with not only a buffet but also delicious choices from a menu. The staff were friendly and helpful. The central, walkable location cannot be beat. I highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I stayed two nights in April 2025 at the Killarney Royal and had a great time! The entire experience went smoothly with all staff members being very helpful and cheerful. We especially enjoyed chatting with Aaron and Fernanda at the bar. If you are looking for a nice, central location in Killarney, give Killarney Royal a look!

Bed very comfortable and room clean..Had to ask for more hangers and a golf ball! Would have liked a shower cap and another large towel(for long haired people) Curtain in bathroom needs to be replaced(mould on the bottom of it) Shower pressure good..Restaurant and breakfast staff excellent.

Fabulous hotel. Would highly recommend and definitely return
