The Crowe's Nest in Conga

This is an extensive chain restaurant on the busy A41 and it’s attached to a Premier Inn. The building itself is comfortable and well presented and staff are very friendly. In addition to the restaurant, out the back is a nice garden area where you can eat and this has a nice view across towards Dunstable. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu which, was standard for this type of chain, has a good range and variety for all tastes. Service was good and when our food arrived, it was nicely cooked and presented.All in all a good place to eat.

The man serving us was lovely and accommodating. No person was there to greet us and regardless of the quality of the restaurant, it is a prerequisite to have that. The space around the area we were eating was really not nice with cobwebs on the conservatory roof and crumbs on the floor and was generally unclean. Food was decent and the plant burger I had was nice.

Always a great breakfast here, friendly service and good value.

On entering, we were immediately informed that there was a long list of items that were not available due to an issue at their distribution warehouses. This included most Christmas items and virtually every other item worth eating on the menu. We had the steak, and it was full of gristle. A wasted visit.

Never have we been asked to leave the table because they wanted it for another group of customers for breakfast and we hadn't even been an HR and still drinking breakfast. Food was just about warm and some items missing from the self service area. Toasters not even plugged in which we had to do. If they had more than one coffee machine they wouldn't have people blocking the way for the waiting staff to negotiate. Won't be returning anytime soon.

Lots of food not available due to distribution issues!

Comí aquí anoche. La comida es muy buena. Algo menos de 22 € por un enorme mango de cordero que se sirvió con un encantador puré de patatas y verduras. Se sirvió rápidamente y la comida salió de manera oportuna. El menú no es enorme, pero hay una buena selección y algo para todos. Para complementar el menú principal hay un tablero especial. El personal es amable y profesional.

Bonne ambiance dans ce pub où il a fallut chercher pour trouver l’entrée. Le patron a des difficultés avec les gitans et il verrouille la porte sur la rue. Cuisine correcte avec un personnel très agréable et souriant. Comme à chaque fois je trouve l’addition un peu élevée mais je crois que c’est général au connemara.
