November 2024 - Just had 2 fab nights staying in the lovely “River Run Cottages” in Terryglass Co. Tipperary. We ate & drank in “The Derg Inn” across the road. We were very luck to experience “The Thursday Night Tapas”, the food was fantastic, with loads to choose from. The food, wine, atmosphere, service was so good that we booked again for the next night. That night I ordered Pate to start & the Tandoori Chicken for main & they were both delicious. The service was great, staff were all very helpful & friendly. Definitely well worth a visit. Only problem was we didn’t book to stay longer - but we’ll definitely be back. Great mini trip to Terryglass. Patrick

I had the pleasure of visiting the newly renovated Derg inn , over the weekend. Caragh has done an amazing job with the new look in the bar and restaurant. The food Leigh is serving is so good. I am a coeliac and the choice of food is so good. We were there for the tapas night, food and atmosphere was so good , with a full house on the night . Aoife and her floor staff are always there to assist. Looking forward to another visit very soon

We were staying in Terryglass for 2 nights...went to the Derg Inn both nights, and had a great experience both times. It was tapas night on the Thursday - gorgeous food and a huge variety to choose from. Its obviously very popular because it was a Thursday in November and there were no empty seats! We booked in for dinner on Friday, and we were all delighted with our meals again. I had the seabass, which came with plenty of prawns and mussels, and bacon and cabbage...which might sounds like a surprising combination, but it worked so well together. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere....worth the trip from Dublin. (We stayed in River Run Cottages - which are just across the road. I would also highly recommend them). Paula

Our first time to visit Terryglass so popped in for a bowl of soup and stayed for dinner. Food was delicious. Red pepper and basil soup with amazing Guiness bread followed by Turkey and ham with turnip carrot broccoli and cauliflower two types of potatoes and bread stuffing. Chicken noodles in sweet chilli sauce delicious served by mostly Aobhinn. She is a breath of fresh air patient efficient and kind.

We went to Tapas night. Great food, good service and goid value for money. Recommended.

Visited here on a Saturday night, couldn't get a table in the restaurant so we dined in the bar. Lovely place new and beautiful, cosy. Service good and food was nice over all. I ordered the seabass which was in a creamy sauce with shrimp and mussels. Unfortunately I had to keep taking small pieces of shell from the mussels out of my mouth, which was a bit off putting.

Went for sunday lunch here yesterday and it was, truly, one of the best roast dinners I've ever had. The roast beef was delicious and the gravy divine. The portions were very generous and we all left full to bursting. Hats off to Alison, the brilliant chef who prepared this feast and a shout out to the lovely waiting and bar staff who helped to make our lunch such an enjoyable occasion. Will be back.
