The Derg Inn in

I love eating Chowder soup here, it's the only place where they cook it really well, and their desserts melt in your mouth.

Had lunch recently, it was my favourite place to eat for a while. Something has changed. Roast of the day -beef was very poor quality and overcooked, tasted like a rubber,vegetables not seasoned very bland,crème brûlée it used to be served with scoop of ice cream and biscuits, none of these is served now. For what you get it's hugely overpriced, luch for 19€ and a bit of custard 9€. Only big plus on decorations but unfortunately food was not worth the visit.

We had dinner her on Friday last, the food was excellent and the lovely attentive young staff were a tribute to the youth of Ireland. We have been coming here for years during previous management.The only thing lacking now is the traditional music night

Loved the decor a the atmosphere, food could not have been better ,and desserts were amazing ,the home made chocolate brownies went down a treat ,friendly staff and a very well priced menu. Thank you so much

The Eggs Benedict with boxty is just delicious. The chef here is inspired. The service was equally cheery and the coffee was of a very high quality. Well worth making the effort to divert here for breakfast instead of the usual garage rolls.

Couldn’t fault a nice lunch we had in the Derg Inn. Staff were friendly, food was lovely exactly what we were looking for after a long cycle. Pint of Guinness there is also very good. Highly recommend!

We stopped off for lunch at The Dreg. The service and the staff was excellent and the menu had a great selection with something to suit all our family. It was very relaxing and we all enjoyed our lunch. Would definitely recommend 👌

I can only agree with the previous speakers. Cozy, very tasty, efficient service, but a bit understaffed at our time.

Good food and beautiful decor. I have visited a number of times, and each time, after getting menu (last weekend) you are left waiting for too long. Almost forgotten about. Last week was the same so I don’t think it’s just due to bank holiday. It’s the same between dinner and desert, the want for desert is gone by the time they eventually remember you have a menu. It’s an awful shame as otherwise a great place. If this was managed better it would be 5 star. Will visit again.
