The Derg Inn in

Everything about the Derg Inn is a 5 star! I had the pleasure of staying in Terryglass for the weekend staying at the River Run Cottages (also a 5 star stay, a 1 min walk away) so I treated myself to lunch (Turkey & Ham) and dinner at The Derg (Special - Prawn Pasta with Crispy Iberico Ham, as pictured). Both meals were amazing value - great quality, flavours, generous portions and service. All of the staff are very attentive and friendly, and serve a stunning Guinness! The whole place has a lovely feel to it, whether you’re in the restaurant, at the bar or having a glass of wine on the high tables. The menu has some great options, I look forward to coming back soon to try the rest out, would highly recommend!

I went to The Derg Inn on Saturday 8th of March. First we came in to watch the Ireland v France rugby match and the staff were so accommodating and friendly. They gave us scones, tea/coffee and lovely pints of Guinness. Later on the evening we stayed for dinner and I had the steak sandwich which was unbelievably good, it was the best steak sandwich I ever had. I was really impressed with everything from how professional the staff were to how good the food was. I would definitely be coming back again when I’m in Terryglass and will be recommending The Derg to my friends and family. Thanks for having us!!

I asked, they delivered. Absolutely mouth watering meal, Beautiful restaurant, very friendly staff, quick service and unbelievable food. Will definitely be back.

Tapas with friends! The best value! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 It is so wonderful to see The Derg Inn open again. The new owners have done wonders with the decor. It feels like a big hug when you walk in the door. 6 of us booked in for tapas night on December 12th just gone. I have to say it was the most enjoyable night out. We had a vegetarian in our company, as well as most of us leaning more towards veggie and the selection on offer was huge! The food was soooo tasty. I highly recommend the halloumi fries which were dusted and fried so the edges were crispy and dressed with a raspberry type of dressing. The cauliflower wings! The black pudding & goats cheese croquettes!! What a surprise for the taste buds. The portions were enormous so no chance of leaving the place hungry. The best €25 euro spent. 4 dishes and a drink. We booked the January date and enjoyed it just as much , if not more. Already looking forward to the February one to see what else appears on the menu. 😋 Shout out to the gentle and funny staff. Highly highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The food is superb both for lunch and Dinner. Will definately be back .its not our first time to Terryglass, this restaurant is a great addition to the Village.

Our first time to visit Terryglass so popped in for a bowl of soup and stayed for dinner. Food was delicious. Red pepper and basil soup with amazing Guiness bread followed by Turkey and ham with turnip carrot broccoli and cauliflower two types of potatoes and bread stuffing. Chicken noodles in sweet chilli sauce delicious served by mostly Aobhinn. She is a breath of fresh air patient efficient and kind.
