The Derg Inn in

Our first time to visit Terryglass so popped in for a bowl of soup and stayed for dinner. Food was delicious. Red pepper and basil soup with amazing Guiness bread followed by Turkey and ham with turnip carrot broccoli and cauliflower two types of potatoes and bread stuffing. Chicken noodles in sweet chilli sauce delicious served by mostly Aobhinn. She is a breath of fresh air patient efficient and kind.

We went to Tapas night. Great food, good service and goid value for money. Recommended.

Lovely lunch here today. Beautiful decor from front door right through to toilets which often leave a place down. Service was excellent with friendly staff. The salted caramel brownie was to die for. The coffee was a different story- first cup -Anericano tasted like tea made in a coffee pot. Second cup cappachino tasted like warmed milk. Something needs to be done with the coffee machine!!. However they were very gracious about it and apologised. We will go back again.

Visited here on a Saturday night, couldn't get a table in the restaurant so we dined in the bar. Lovely place new and beautiful, cosy. Service good and food was nice over all. I ordered the seabass which was in a creamy sauce with shrimp and mussels. Unfortunately I had to keep taking small pieces of shell from the mussels out of my mouth, which was a bit off putting.

Went for sunday lunch here yesterday and it was, truly, one of the best roast dinners I've ever had. The roast beef was delicious and the gravy divine. The portions were very generous and we all left full to bursting. Hats off to Alison, the brilliant chef who prepared this feast and a shout out to the lovely waiting and bar staff who helped to make our lunch such an enjoyable occasion. Will be back.

Newly renovated, lovely athmosphere, Deliciously cooked carvery dinners, friendly serves. There is also a grocery shop with fab coffee and pastries beside pub. All round outstanding. 12/10 Best food and service for miles, very good value too.

Newly renovated shiny restaurant with amazing menu and fantastic staff, they were very friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for you. Culinary delight awaits. You won't be dissapointed. The portions are massive, delicious food and all ingredients are fresh. We ordered the Chicken breast Burger which was very tasty, chicken was very soft, cooked to perfection with a crispy batter. The second meal was Seabass with Prawns, mussels, cabbage and bacon, mash potato and veg in a saffron creamy sauce. All I can say is Wow! The best fish dish I have ever tasted! Very adventurous combination of ingredients which completely works! Compliments to the chef! Absolutely delicious dinner, we will be back.

Was recommended to visit Terryglass by a work colleague, and was a little worried by the size of the village but was not disappointed by the quality of the food at The Derg Inn. Wait time was not too long and all the food was pretty fresh. We had gotten the fish and chips and the chicken burger. Portion size was great for the price. We didn’t get dessert this time but we will when we are back. The only downside is parking, if it’s very busy it could be tricky finding a parking spot close.

Booked at the Derg on the back of a recommendation. And we were not let down. Food is exceptionally good. Presented well and tastes as good has it looks. Steak was so tender. You felt like you had time to enjoy your meal without them taking one place and bringing out the next in minutes.like a few places. Staff are polite, and yes it's a new team and will have a few hitches but it's the way it's dealt with. More importantly would I return? The answer is a great big YES! The Derg is well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed. Next year could I have a Pina Colada
