The Elm Tree in Cork

Really beautiful meal for4 adults 2 children. Kids meal is great value and chicken goujons are real breast like you’d make at home. Hake salmon duck and burger all thoroughly enjoyed. Brownies and pavlova were divine but bannoffee was lacking on the caramel / toffee front. As it was really busy understandably service was a little slow and our drinks forgotten for over half an hour but there was a wonderful buzz and atmosphere and we’ll definitely return Stunning Christmas decor too ☺️

Staff are fantastic, food is 5 star and there's a great pint of stout

A busy place with a bit of a queue, however they worked through the queue at a decent speed. Food was tasty and plenty in the portion size. Only 3 stars for service as wasn't able to order a drink as staff too busy, I asked for a pot of gravy but it never materialised.

The Elm Tree is keeping standards for years and this is another visit confirmed that you want to be back. Portions are big and everything it is so tasty and delicious. Chicken wings to definitely to order along with featherbed and fish and chips. One thing for improvement are prawns that didn't come in nice buttery but more watery and pate should be served with fresh bread instead of croutons. Otherwise 5 🌟 as always.

Came to the Elm tree yesterday and should have gone for the carvery but the toasted sandwich and soup was lovely. So we decided to come on the next day Sunday to try the carvery. 1. 30pm on a it was busy. But took to the Q and was served well. Food was excellent the staff are amazing. Eoin greeted us at the top of the Q and showed me to a table. The other staff are unreal. Moving fast catering to all our needs clearing tablets fast. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The staff made the experience excellent and id highly recommend anyone to try The Elm Tree.

Loved this restaurant. Went there for a birthday meal with family recently, the food was top notch, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

The food at the Elm Tree is delicious, but (and this is not aimed at the waitresses who served us - it's not their fault at all) the staff are exceptionally young, and not trained adequately. This is the third time I visited, and I won't be returning. Waiting to be seated having booked ahead, ignored by 4 uncertain staff clinging to the wall who couldn't handle my remarking (in private away from my family) that this visit ( a 90th birthday treat) was turning out to be less than special. They were clearly upset by this, feeling under pressure, and tried to make up ground, but this really is a management issue. We sat at the table for 10 minutes before I went for a walk and found the buffet. We otherwise had a sandwich menu just table left on the table. No balloons on the table (requested on the phone, asked for a second time and finally arrived - we were cringing). Please, who ever is training the staff, please do better by them.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here - everyone's meals were exceptional. The desserts were also lovely. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
