The Elm Tree in Cork

Always a great experience, The elm tree never ever disappoints ,top class service, top class food ,Megan the server met our every need on many a occasion. My family down from the North had a fantastic time.

The food at the Elm Tree is delicious, but (and this is not aimed at the waitresses who served us - it's not their fault at all) the staff are exceptionally young, and not trained adequately. This is the third time I visited, and I won't be returning. Waiting to be seated having booked ahead, ignored by 4 uncertain staff clinging to the wall who couldn't handle my remarking (in private away from my family) that this visit ( a 90th birthday treat) was turning out to be less than special. They were clearly upset by this, feeling under pressure, and tried to make up ground, but this really is a management issue. We sat at the table for 10 minutes before I went for a walk and found the buffet. We otherwise had a sandwich menu just table left on the table. No balloons on the table (requested on the phone, asked for a second time and finally arrived - we were cringing). Please, who ever is training the staff, please do better by them.

Vine aquí con la familia para una comunión y quedó tan impresionado. Soy vegano y aunque nuestra reserva era demasiado pronto para que yo eligiera en el menú vegano completo, había múltiples opciones veganas para elegir como entrante principal y postre. Tenía los pasteles veganos de ‘pescado’ thai para empezar y eran increíbles, tenían la hamburguesa vegana como principal y el brownie vegano más increíble y helado de postre (mi mamá no es vegana y estaba celosa de que fuera tan bueno). Tenían otras opciones para cada curso también, lo cual es fabuloso, ya que la mayoría de los lugares solo tienen una opción! Nuestro servidor Rachel era tan dulce y tan servicial y atento y bien informado sobre las restricciones dietéticas y los alérgenos e incluso dos veces comprobado si ciertas cosas eran veganas o no para mí. Todos los demás en el grupo pidieron del menú principal no vegano y todos dijeron que la comida era preciosa. También tenían un gran menú de cócteles! Con ganas de volver y probar las otras opciones veganas, recomiendo encarecidamente
