The Elm Tree in Cork

Went to the elm tree last night for my birthday, food was amazing and had a great night, only to get a phone call from my sister this morning to say she rang the restaurant last night to get a bottle of prosecco to be sent to my table only to be told , sorry we are too busy , how rude, to say I was upset was an understatement after leaving €250 for dinner and a few drinks ,they obviously don't need the money

I have to say this is our favourite place in Cork to eat. The staff, the atmosphere and the food all 10/10. Thank you so much for another fantastic dining experience. See you soon!!!

I went to the elm three on st Patricks day I was served by Alex he went above and beyond for us the service he provided was very good he had very good Knowledge when I asked about allergens and the menu he was able to tell me everything I need to know , considering how busy it was he made the experience very good and will definitely be back

Came in and sat down at our table, no water given at the table and left us sitting for ages before taking drinks order. Had to ask for water 5 times to get 3 bottles total. Mains came in two groups 5 minutes apart. Very slow to clear tables after meal. Seem to be under staffed in general.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant, everything was 5 stars all the way. We went on a Tuesday night and it was full! The atmosphere was electric. If you're ever in this area a visit to this restaurant is a must, you most certainly will not be disappointed..... it delivers on everything!

Fuimos a cenar esta noche con la familia . . . mesa encantadora en la zona trasera por el pequeño bar y fuego . . . la comida era excelente, pero el servicio era impactante . . . Esperábamos 40 minutos para nuestra primera bebida esto fue después de preguntarle al camarero 3 veces al respecto. . . . en realidad teníamos nuestro entrante entregado antes de la bebida. . el camarero seguía desapareciendo. . . las mesas de nuestra sección no estaban cubiertas. . . pedimos más agua otras 3 veces. . . pero nunca llegó. . . en una etapa no había camarero en la sección en absoluto. . . . cuando llegó fue un esfuerzo para él. . . . Comida hermosa, pero por favor un poco de sacudida para algunos miembros del personal de espera.

Lovely food for that special occasion can't say anything else food is lovely

One of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time! The steak and duck were cooked to PERFECTION, food was out super quick and so fresh. The prices are a little higher than the average restaurant in cork but the portion sizes definitely make up for that! Great experience all around

We visited the busy restaurant on the February bank holiday. The Elm Tree is well designed ;the decor of the restaurant and bar are modern and attractive. A visit is recommended. The food was very tasty and well presented. The roast chicken, beef burger, buffalo wings, Cajun chicken salad were all good. The young staff were smartly dressed and friendly but there were two errors in the order. We were seated at a high table in the bar which was noisy. Also booking system on the bank holiday did not work. No pickup or callback after 4 calls and an email. One of us drove 10 miles to make the reservation. Despite these problems , an enjoyable evening.
