The food was amazing, the service was great and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very nice and accommodating, would definitely recommend during a trip to Dingle.

Overall a great restaurant. One of the fishes in the "fish dish for two" wasn't fresh. The flannery fish & chips have a weird texture - maybe go with the regular fish & chips. The service was great, would recommend.

Always make a point of getting takeaway from here at least one night when visiting Dingle. Crispy, tasty chips along with delicious Cajun calamari, coated prawns or battered fish. Something for everyone. Not super cheap for takeaway but it's excellent quality food and the portions are generous.

During our 4 days stay at Dingle, we had 3 meals at Fish Box. Excellent quality, good value for money. The service was quick. They all were gas and always with a sweet smile. The vegetarian option of Tadka Dahl was very yummy and filling

This restaurant came highly rated. There was a line and a wait. But when we were searched the fish and chips were 3rd rate. Jake was the chosen fish. It was mushy and lacked the flaky structure of a proper Irish Fish and Chip meal. The chips were fragments—as if from the bottom of somewhere. The salad served in the plate was overloaded with red onion that overpowered the attempt to offer a light balance to the meal. The reason this restaurant least achieved a 3 was due in dual part to the amazing job done by the Host. He was professional and friendly. The wait staff was adequate but not exceptional. What was also excellent was the seafood chowder. This cup will be in my dreams for weeks. I would recommend another restaurant if visiting Dingle— if you want high quality Fish and Chios!

27/09/2024: I try not to be mean when I write these reviews, but, I've eaten at Michelin-starred and recommended restaurants in Asia, the United States and across Europe and I look for value for money as well as great, flavorful experiences. Not too keen on this experience. While it's attempting to celebrate local seafood, meats and produce, we found it suffered from what I call the "Jamie Oliver effect". Too much everything that smothered and didn't celebrate the central ingredient. Potatoes bravas smothered with too much salsa brava. A Crab meat brioche that buries the delicate crab flavor in too much sauce (and we nixed the truffle sauce). We ordered the fresh tomato salad and it had an incredible mildly pickled fennel in it, but, I know the season is ending, but the yellow tomatoes were mushy. Rock oysters were great. But that was the only course that celebrated and didn't overwhelm the main event. Great staff and service, but the food kind of all tasted the same towards the end.
