The Fish Box in An daingean

Had the best fish of my life at the Fish Box, we stopped on a Monday evening and grabbed the Sharing Box for my husband and to split. We polished it off and enjoyed every second. It’s been two weeks since we were here and I have thought about this meal everyday since.

The batter on their fried fish is the best I’ve ever had. The chips were just okay and could’ve been much better. I also tried the chowder, which was quite chunky. It was good, but I would’ve preferred a bit more soup.

A great find. Amazing fish and chips. Lovely vegetarian options. A delicious smash burger. Something for everyone, even if you don’t fancy fish and chips. Will definitely return.

I went here several months ago when I was visiting from the US, and I'm still craving their fish and chips. It was amazing! I had to come back and leave a review. Highly recommend.

Great food, staff and layout. You won't be disappointed.

In principle, a decent chowder, but take a large plate because the mug is small, and the price is 3 euros more, fish and chips, good, if you are in Dingle you can go here, but they only have one type of tea, normal tea, I don't understand how it is) But there is water.

I was told that the best fish in Dingle was here. I'd have to say, I think they're right. Besides the good food and service, the restroom is very clean. Kudos to the owner and staff.

Ordered the gf fish and chips- it was fine. Not the best I've had, and not the worst I've had.

This has become our favorite restaurant in Dingle. We’ve been visiting for years, and when I offered to take our recent group to another dining experience, everyone voted they wanted to have yet another meal here. The recently expanded space is wonderful and everything about this experience is spot on. From the food, staff and efficiency, truly a must stop place when you’re visiting Dingle.

We wanted to try to avoid some of the crowds and checked in at the Fish Box for an early dinner. The wait lasted around half an hour which wasn’t too long. Once seated we already had an idea of what we wanted from the menu which listed a decent selection of fried and non fried choices. The crispy chilli hake started out as a sweet and crispy dish but after a while this sauce just overpowered the meal. I think it would’ve been better to get the sauce on the side and consume to my liking. The fish box was more than enough variety to get a taste for their “submerged” seafood menu. Crisp and hot. Our server was very friendly and did a good job with updates on our order and after our food was served.
