The Four Liars Bistro in Cork

We visited The Four Liars Bistro and, overall, the food was okay but not great. Some of the meat we ordered was fine, but some parts were too dry. The bread also did not taste like it was freshly baked in the restaurant. It felt more like shop-bought bread, and some of the food tasted like it may have been reheated. For the price range, I think there are better places available. If you are hungry and just want something simple, it is okay to try, but based on our visit, the food was only 3 stars for me.

Went there with my wife , absolutely amazing food , I felt I was home and enjoyed Maglobeh and kabseh, it was amazing well cooked and the everything was clean and tidy and warm and everything came at the same time. Nice staff and I’m always recommending people to go and try Arabian cuisine. And worth the pay definitely. Thanks everyone Shokran!

Probably my favourite restaurant in Cork. I've been ordering delivery (the Farrouj Mashwi + some extra bread) about every two weeks for the last couple years, and it is absolutely fantastic every time. The char on the chicken + whatever it's marinated in is actually perfect. I've called in a few times too (and tried a few more things), and the service and decor are both so inviting. Mostly just writing this to say thanks to these lads for being incredible all the time 🙏🙏

If you're looking for a special culinary experience in Cork, The Four Liars Bistro is a must-visit. The restaurant is located in the historic and quaint Shandon neighborhood, a charming area that makes for a pleasant evening, starting with the walk there. We had such a great time the first night that we couldn't help but return the next. The first time, I tried a vegetarian main course of falafel and mixed vegetables: crispy, flavorful, and incredibly fresh, truly delicious. On my second visit, I opted for the beef skewers with vegetables, which were cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. A huge plus, which isn't always found in these establishments, is the option to pair the excellent Syrian cuisine with a good glass of wine or beer. The atmosphere is very welcoming and refined, but what makes the difference is the staff: the service is friendly and courteous, capable of making you feel right at home. Highly recommended if you're in Cork.
