We stumbled upon it by chance, and the experience was the perfect finishing touch. Great atmosphere, relaxing music. A cozy restaurant with very friendly service. Thank you! Highly recommended!!

Fantastic food. It's all very tasty and filling. Decent portions that fill you without leaving you hungry or too full. Fish is meaty and tasty. Stew has a proper level of thick gravy. Chicken is the perfect level of moist.

Excellent experience today in the galleon! Food was superb with massive portion sizes, we did not leave hungry! We were served by a lovely lady who had such a welcoming warm presence. We will be returning very very soon! It’s a must stop when in Salthill

Estuve aquí ayer con mi familia para el almuerzo del domingo, la calidad de la comida es excelente y el personal aquí es de primera categoría y ofrece mucha diversión y un servicio excelente. Mi familia y yo salimos de aquí con el estómago lleno y emocionados por nuestro regreso. ¡Mi hija es celíaca y el amplio menú de The Galleons le dio muchas opciones para elegir! ¡Sinceramente una experiencia de 10 sobre 10! Muy recomendable.

Caprice

10/11/2025: The food at Caprice was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. We were a group of three, but unfortunately, one dish was forgotten, so one of us had to wait while the rest were served. Mistakes happen, but it did take a bit away from the experience. Overall though, the food was excellent, and I’d be happy to visit again.
21/10/2025: Was greeted and seated right away by Manager and given water for the table. Poached eggs were undercooked. No one came to the table to check on us so when it was time to pay I mentioned to staff that I could not eat the dish. No apology and I was presented with the bill. Had to explain that I wasnt paying for my meal. Manager was notified and brought plate to the kitchen. Came back and removed the item from the bill. No acknowledgement or apology. Staff training needs to be improved.
