The service was quite good, and the fish and chips were plentiful with a nice béarnaise sauce. The live traditional music after the meal was a great way to experience a taste of Ireland.

I ordered the original beer at this bar and it was delicious. The atmosphere and live music also made it an unforgettable experience. If you visit Galway, I definitely recommend stopping by this historic bar for a drink.

31/01/2026: Great wholesome food, And a nice drink to wash it down.
26/10/2025: This place was so good we went back a second time while in Galway. We had the Irish Rib Steak Sandwich both times and the taste and flavor were spot-on. Prices were reasonable. Only thing they didn’t have was music but the good and drinks make up for that.

02/02/2026: We didn't spend time in the bar proper so can't speak to that but the restaurant is top class. Phenomenal food. Really exceptional. Unpretentious location and very friendly and helpful staff. Family friendly too. Can't recommend highly enough.
