The Local in Dungarvan

Heard good things about the local so thought I would give it a go . Really nice atmosphere as I stepped in from the freezing temperatures and the pub was busy for an early Thursday evening . Ordered a Heineken, ordered the Mexican burger with a wine . Burger was great as were the home cooked chips and drinks were good . Certain places I visit I don’t feel relaxed or welcomed when working away but what a breath of fresh air here. Thank you team for a lovely experience and I will probably come back tomorrow as it was that nice

One of the best places to eat in Dungarvan. Fantastic quality fresh food, excellent service, an amazing interior with so much Irish and local history captured on its walls and ceilings. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We were an extended family group of 5 adults and 4 children and had a lovely night. The food was lovely (highly recommend the hake and the warm chicken salad), but it was the service that really made this extra-special. There was a minor miscommunication around the food order and it was swiftly and satisfactorily dealt with and they couldn't have been more pleasant or attentive. Would highly recommend.

So so so good loved this little spot. Great vibes, delicious food. All 4 of us in our group absolutely loved our dinner and guiness. We had the burgers, seafood chowder, chicken goujons and hake goujons. All delicious.

As Dad and I traveled on our epic Ireland road trip we just had to stop for a bite to eat. After walking around the wonderful square and seeing what the street vendors had to offer we stopped into The Local. This place certainly didn't disappoint. Crowded with just that locals. The atmosphere was amazing with tons of cool stuff to look at. Including a sign from a pharmacy from a little town in Indiana where my grandfather was born. Quite a coincidence that didn't weigh lightly on my Dad. To top it off the food was great and the staff was wonderful. If you get a chance I would highly recommend a stop by The Local yourself!

So far, this is my favourite bar in Dungarvan. Staff are very accommodating and the inside is beautiful. I would recommend The Local if you want a relaxing drink in Dungarvan.
