Food lovely in the locke bar Limerick city

Always a ‘go to’ place. Jameson and Ginger is a great cocktail followed by a Guiness of course. Can’t go wrong with the classic Fish and Chips. I just wish they had Shepard Pie on the menu.

A cute but also lively bar. The drinks are a little higher priced, but I still liked the bar. 5/5 for the ambience.

Had a lovely meal here - steak and ale pie was fantastic. Really relaxed and enjoyable pub to eat and drink in!

It is always a pleasure to be back. Zander was a great help in deciding which drinks would be the best and most popular here. We ended up having a good chat about cocktails as he has been working with it for a while, I could say that his advices were lifesaving as we were really in need of a staff knowledge like his. Will definitely be back, Thanks the Locke Bar for always keeping your standards that high.

Beautiful experience will definitely recommend it

I was in Limerick for the night and this place had been suggested twice to head to. As it happened I ended up there twice over the course of the day and night. Great spot. Big area outside and lots of room inside. Open fires added a nice touch on a cold day. Food was lovely. Live music that night was great. Friendly staff. Clean toilets. Overall recommended.

The Locke is situated in the heart of Limerick. It is around three quarters of a mile from Colbert station on foot. We visited on a couple of occasions during a weekend stay - on a Saturday afternoon and a Sunday morning. On the Saturday, we were able to watch the televised football and I really enjoyed my lunch of half a dozen Achill Island oysters with brown bread for the great price of €16. On the Sunday morning, we were able to avail ourselves of the early opening time (which I believe is 10 am) and have a few pints of Guinness and Murphy’s before heading off to the airport.
