The Locke in Limerick

Excellent Venue for Christmas Party Night, this our 3rd year in a row going back to the Locke Bar because the staff are so friendly and helpful they make the whole experience exceptional. The food is fantastic, the music and atmosphere are brilliant. We will be back again next year without a doubt.

Solid food, beer and atmosphere.

Quick, friendly service. Atmosphere is typical Irish pub. Food was plentiful and mostly delicious. The chicken in my curry special was a smidge chewy, but it tasted delicious. Great place for a relaxed lunch.

Nice place. Beer for 6 euros, delicious fries for 4.25. Great live music.

Very clean Unfortunately so many tables booked and kept being moved payed for 2 steak dinners price was average these days but steak was very fatty didn't feel well after

The Locke is situated in the heart of Limerick. It is around three quarters of a mile from Colbert station on foot. We visited on a couple of occasions during a weekend stay - on a Saturday afternoon and a Sunday morning. On the Saturday, we were able to watch the televised football and I really enjoyed my lunch of half a dozen Achill Island oysters with brown bread for the great price of €16. On the Sunday morning, we were able to avail ourselves of the early opening time (which I believe is 10 am) and have a few pints of Guinness and Murphy’s before heading off to the airport.
