I ate a huge and delicious fish & chips. It was very thick but melting at the same time. A real treat

Good place for a pint and watch the rugby but very disappointed in the food.... Had the steak and ale pie with chips and mushy peas.... pie was all crust, which was burnt and filling was way to salty. The chips were poor quality .... no effort made with presentation as was evident by my plate and others I witnessed. Priced at 20 euro there was no value for money.
There was a nice touch when at half time in the rugby hot dogs were offered to everyone.... these were very welcome and tasty.

Locke Bar in Limerick is a great spot to enjoy classic Irish cuisine in a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was exactly what we hoped for – hearty and flavorful. The menu offers a variety of traditional Irish dishes, and the pub itself has a charming, old-school vibe, perfect for a relaxing meal.
The highlight was definitely the local specialties, which provided a great taste of Ireland. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of the food was high, making it worth every penny. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the experience, and the ambiance made it even more enjoyable.
Overall, Locke Bar offers a satisfying and authentic Irish pub experience in the heart of Limerick – definitely recommended for anyone looking to try classic Irish fare!

Ihad the pleasure of being served by Sarah, and she was absolutely fantastic! Even though she mentioned she started just two weeks ago, her professionalism and friendly demeanor were exceptional.

The Locke is situated in the heart of Limerick. It is around three quarters of a mile from Colbert station on foot.
We visited on a couple of occasions during a weekend stay - on a Saturday afternoon and a Sunday morning.
On the Saturday, we were able to watch the televised football and I really enjoyed my lunch of half a dozen Achill Island oysters with brown bread for the great price of €16.
On the Sunday morning, we were able to avail ourselves of the early opening time (which I believe is 10 am) and have a few pints of Guinness and Murphy’s before heading off to the airport.
