An authentic and friendly spot for lunch! The sandwiches are truly excellent, made with fresh ingredients. Special mention for the chicken salad sandwich, a real treat 😋. I highly recommend it for a delicious and unpretentious lunch break.

Lovely traditional spot in Cork City! The chowder is one of the best I have ever had. A bit chunky but lovely! Unfortunately those from anti-immigrant/ gay, etc... groups seem to be targeting the bar negatively!

Market Lane

18/11/2025: I LOVE that they use everything from Cork (or at least nearby). There is an information log in the back that tells you where everything is sourced, which was so fun to see after a visit to The English Market. Delicious meal, although the chicken breast was a teeny bit dry. Otherwise, was great!
16/11/2025: We went to Market Lane to try the Cross Gun beer made by the brewer Vitor, and honestly we are not saying this because we are friends with him. The beer was truly incredible. The food was exceptional as well. We ordered the pork with cabbage, and I have never had cabbage with mash that tasted so good. There was also a carrot mash that was absolutely delicious. I have never had such an enjoyable gastronomic experience. Everything was one hundred percent perfect and we will definitely be back.
