The Oliver Plunkett in Cork

We couldn't have chosen a better place, with a welcoming atmosphere and live music. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back when we return to Cork!

This pub-restaurant is exceptional with a quality staff, a live band almost every night and a nice selection of drinks.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the entire team and especially thank Steven for his prompt and attentive service. Today, I truly experienced outstanding customer care — the whole staff deserves congratulations! The lunch was wonderful, and I look forward to coming back many more times. A solid 10 out of 10! —————— I visited this pub today (28/10/25) and unfortunately the service was really poor. We had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone even noticed we were there, and only after practically begging a waitress did someone finally come to take our order. We ordered two portions of fries, a beer, and a cider — only the fries arrived. They completely forgot the drinks, and we had to ask again. On top of that, our table was dirty, with used glasses still there, and even after asking twice, nobody bothered to clean it. Overall, very disappointing service and little attention to customers. It’s a shame, because the place has potential, but at the moment I can’t give more than one star.

29/10/2025 I recently tried to have dinner at The Oliver Plunkett but was disappointed with how I was treated as a solo diner. I was told that I would have to wait 30 minutes for a table, while other parties of four or more were seated immediately. I was directed to sit at the bar instead. It seemed that the staff were focused on maximising profit rather than ensuring customer satisfaction. I have visited the establishment in the past and always found it good value for money, but this experience has made me reluctant to return.

Nos divertimos mucho aquí, la comida era impresionante, el personal era muy amable y servicial - en particular Stephen que hizo nuestra noche, muy divertido!

Bellissimo pub storico di Cork. Musica dal vivo e sessioni di live e ballo irlandese il mercoledì. Spazi ampi, ambiente accogliente, servizio rapido e sorridente. Ottimo lo stufato irlandese, se volete cenare, meglio prenotare. Altrimenti, si può semplicemente vere una pinta ascoltando musica. Abbiamo passato una magnifica e divertente serata.
