What can I say about The Pantry. It has to be tried to be believed. Their food is out of this world. I have been ordering and eating from The Pantry since I was a kid. A little pricey, but in today's economy, its to be expected. Please don't leave without trying The Carrot Cake. I've never eaten anything like it !!

Service was very mixed, not clear if I had to wait or sit and they would bring it down. We got the chicken sandwich, the goat cheese with added chicken, the OG and one of us made our own. The goats cheese was very sparse on the cheese and the OG was very skimpy on the meat. Food was brought out and the waiters didn’t know what the orders were. Overall overpriced including the coffee. I gave it 4 as there was a busker there who was quite good.

The pantry has changed now its takeaway cups...food is nice but pricey...can anyone justify a cardboard hot cup of water with a teabag thrown in and get charged 4 euro 20 cents...I can't justify that

Staff are so lovely, we got pancakes, coffee, juice and croissants. Visited this cafe with my 6 year old niece, she was given a colouring page with crayons she could bring home! Bathroom available.

31/12/2025: We are a small family with roots in West Clare and regardless of what stage of the year you come down to the area, the Bay View consistently offers great food, great atmosphere and attentive staff. Everything a good family run hotel should be. Long may it continue!
17/11/2025: We arrived at about 6pm on a Sunday night in November -- when most of the other restaurants in town were closed for the season -- to find a substantial crowd and several people waiting for tables. The very polite proprietor did a quick survey and suggested it might be as much as a 40 minute wait, but lacking other options, we settled at the bar. Fortunately, things moved more quickly and we were seated in about 15 minutes instead. Their menu follows the "gastro pub" model, with upscale versions of a lot of Irish standards . I had a bowl of chowder (very good), my wife had goat cheese crostini (excellent) and we shared a tiger prawn appetizer (also delicious). The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere cozy on a chilly fall night. Overall, a win all around.

17/06/2025: We held our family reunion at Stella Maris in Kilkee in June 2025, with relatives joining us from all around the world. It was a large group, including many happy young children, and the team at Stella Maris couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, with a full menu that offered something for everyone in our group. The quality was superb, and the variety ensured all tastes were catered for. The cocktail menu was extensive and expertly made, adding an extra touch of celebration to the occasion. A special highlight was the personalized menu featuring a welcome message for our family reunion — such a thoughtful and meaningful gesture that truly made us feel at home. We can’t thank the staff enough for helping make our reunion so memorable. Highly recommended!
